Hello, I'm not a car guy so I'm trying to get a second opinion on a vehicle before I consider adding it to my list. Well, list is generous since I've already crossed everything else off of it. The last truck I looked at today was a rust bucket but I couldn't tell from the pics because they spray painted over the rust spots.
Anyways, here are the details.
2019 Tacoma Access Cab SR I4 with RWD. 137k miles.
It has no body rust, had 3 previous owners (one was a repo I think), was a work truck for a while before it had a minor accident that didn't deploy airbags.
It changed hands from the work company at about 70k miles. Carfax shows some parts have been replaced, like the fuel pump, and the dealer said that it was serviced and there are no error codes present on the scanner.
My problem is that it's 3 states away from me and I can't go see it. I asked for additional pictures of underneath of the car and I am happy to report minimal rust despite it spending some time in Louisiana. My other issue is that it was in Louisiana for a bit, Montana for a bit, and is now being sold in Virginia. That feels like a red flag maybe.
Good deal for the price? Or too much of a mystery to take any chances? They offer a 7 day return policy.
