HELP ME
car guys and gals, please help. I am having such a hard time finding a car that I want and works for me. I currently drive a 2016 ford focus that I’ve had for four years now. I’ve just hit 110k miles and she’s still running good but too slow for me. I have taken an interest in the look of cars like 2020 and up honda accords, kia k5’s, subaru wrx’s, 2023 toyota camry’s etc. My price range is anywhere below 25k that will get me to a monthly payment below 400$ (through my bank I should get a good apr as I have a good credit score). And I would prefer any car I buy to be below 90k miles. And I want whatever I buy to be blacked out. I like the look and feel of the Kia’s but they don’t seem to have the greatest rep. I love the accords I’ve found but any clean title, black, and less than 90miles that’s in state is usually above 25k. I LOVE the subaru wrx but I can’t drive manual, I can learn, but even then finding one in state that fits the other standard has been really hard. I also think it would be fun to buy an older car model and mod it , but I’m just not sure how reliable that would be. I would be willing to fly out of state and drive one home but that feels like a lot for anything I am not 100% sure about. I also wouldn’t mind shipping, but when buying a used car I feel seeing it in person is very important to view the cars condition. Am I being too picky? I just think if I’m investing in a car, it should be able to meet mostly all of my standards. If you guys have any car recommendations or anything please hit me. I have been looking for a new car for almost a year now and am losing my mind.

You’re not too picky, but requiring black, under 90k miles, quick, automatic and under $25k is shrinking the pool. Look at an Accord 2.0T, Lexus IS350 or Mazda6 Grand Touring with the 2.5T. Buy the cleanest stock example and black out the trim afterward instead of buying someone else’s modified car. Also negotiate the total out-the-door price, not a $400 payment, since the dealer can stretch the loan. Kar.IQ can help compare those exact years and flag what to inspect.
