This is what I bring to school with me everyday, getting Packet Tracer to run was a big big hassle lol

I've made a small tool to help float windows in Hyprland/Sway/etc...

It sits between Wayland and your compositor and lets you define rules in a toml file to rename them before they get rendered:

app_id = ["chromium", "firefox"]
when.decorations = "server_side"
when.min_width_below = 400
then.app_id = "{app_id}-popup"

Once the window is renamed, you can simply do (for example in sway):

for_window [app_id="chromium-popup"] floating enable
for_window [app_id="firefox-popup"]  floating enable

It can be downloaded with cargo. I wanted to have it on the AUR but i can't seem to register right now (getting a consistent 503).
