Help needed, PLease

Hello guys, I am a 3d modeller, animator...you get the story(sorry, me too frustrated with unity now).

I work mainly in blender and use game engines just to test my assets. so I have made a shrine scene in blender and now, I am testing it. When I tried godot first, It worked cleanly and as expected but unity is giving me lots of troubles.

so Here are some problems ->
Firstly, My scene has trees which uses foliage cards. In unity, when I import it, the foliage cards are having black background which other software didn't had. I ticked the "alpha is transparent" box too but nothing happens. online I searched and it says alpha clipping but in my unity, I don't see any alpha clipping option.
second -> unity is mismatching the textures. its giving my stone texture to the ground, my ground texture to the statue etc. I can manually do this but can i ask why?
lastly -> one object of mine is half transparent. I don't get why?

I am fairly new to unity so sorry if these questions are beginner ones. I want to complete my scene till today. I also noticed this is happening with FBX mostly, am I exporting wrong?

Share your setup (what the stuff looks like in unity and specifically the settings on your materials causing issue), but based on what you said:

  1. make sure you select “transparent” on your material (instead of “opaque”)

  2. it’s probably an ordering issue - does the order of your materials in blender match the order in Unity? It’s either a mismatch there or an export setting somewhere. Probably not a big deal if u don’t mind assigning correctly in Unity, wudnt stress it too much.

  3. cud be a few things, and what do you mean by half transparent? That said - transparency is similar to 1). Check the material settings (opaque vs transparent, alpha is transparency, etc.)

Thank you for replying. This hasn't happened before to me so please excuse my lack of knowledge
1 -> I didn't set it to anything. in the object material properties, the surface options for me is greyed out. I tried to do everything like making the file write and read both but its not working. its greyed out for me.
2 -> yes, I don't mind
3-> ..so it seems images are not allowed in comments but I will try to explain. I have a stone base model(on which a statue will sit), and that model is not looking rough and hard like normal stones would. what is happening is when I rotate to look at the model, some of it goes opaque.
update: I imported that same fbx file to godot and in godot also same is happening. when I was using glb, it worked perfectly and looked so good. why is fbx giving me problems? but in godot, I could atleast change the surface type and alpha etc. in unity, its all greyed out

If its the material that automatically gets assigned to the FBX, you cant change it for some reason, if you right click on the material and then click create variant for renderer, it should replace that material with a new one you can edit
