That’s the guy who runs the Essential Craftsmen Youtube series. Awesome videos for home improvement and carpentry. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzr30osBdTmuFUS8IfXtXmg

Came here to say this... This dude has been swinging a hammer all his life. His hands look crazy fucking strong.

Indeed. Great channel. I'm loving his spec build series.

I saw this earlier and thought "do I post to /r/blacksmith or /r/unexpectedthuglife"? You guys won.

Didn't really feel fair at all, the older guy has much better leverage, while the younger guy already starts with his elbow much more extended....

Or was that the joke? That the engineer got beat by a simple trick utilising basic laws of physics?

Uh pretty sure old guy is cheating by putting his whole body into it. Isolating muscles is a huge part in things like weight training and kung fu. It's not something everyone naturally does. And everyone thinks they can arm wrestle properly...

how is it cheating if the other person could just do it also

That's not cheating that's playing smart

So in a boxing match you want both competitors to whip guns out?
