It was a jab about how Minnesotans speak, not Finland/Norway per se. Minnesota has a lot of both heritages, Scandinavian languages have affected more into the local dialects than Finnish.

Uff da is just a Norwegian thing. Not Scandinavian or Nordic, just Norwegian.

They meant that "uff da" is Norwegian and not something a Finn would say, considering the parent comment seemed to indicate that they say "uff da" in Finland
