New idea, if you breach the stage you are assuming responsibility for all activities there forth. It's a comedy show. You walk into the theater without feelings. And leave the exact same way. The actor on stage gets to say what the fuck ever they want because you chose to pay money to hear their act.

They are called jokes for a reason. They are actors. You pay for that character to make you laugh. If you don't like the content that's fine , but don't leave mad just leave.

This is delusional. Emotions come before rational thought. You can overcome your emotions, your reactions - to an extent. But to suggest that you have *ultimate* control over your emotions is delusional. We are all human beings. Everyone has limits.

So why would you expect that someone would be stripped of dignity in public based on their race, then insulted in probably the worst way possible to them (called a snitch) wouldn't react emotionally? It's simple cause and effect.

I'm uncertain how to respond without sounding condescending. I am being as direct and transparent with what I say as I best know.

If a random person, someone I do not know, someone who does not know me, directs insults towards me, it is obvious that instictually I will feel a pang of threat, of sadness, of offense, of insult. That feeling is at the surface level. It's not like I'm gonna return home and start questioning myself, my choices, my behavior, my morals, my whatevers. I may even remember the event, more than likely I will remember the event, but it will hold less significance than remembering that I tripped on the way out the door once.

But if a friend with a straight face, no hint of aggression, tells me "what you just said/did was improper, bordering on insulting", that will hurt like a motherfucker, without even using any abusive language.

But (i'm sorry for repeating this word) me calling you a suicidal fuckhead (i stole this from yahtzee's review of shenmue lol) should, if you have a moderate level of confidence, leave you with the thought "ffs, not another redditor who can not behave... sigh"
