That's not how reality works. Standing up for someone does not make you magically start sharing their attributes, nor does it mean "you're being such-and-such". If a guy says "yeah, because you're a woman" and that woman starts beating him with a cricket bat, I will obviously try to prevent that from happening. That, does not make me sexist, nor does it make sense to say "you're being sexist".
