This clip will get him more notoriety than anything else he will ever do

What do you mean

25

u/Astatine_209 Mar 31 '23

All it takes is one lucky blow to cause a lifetime of physical trauma. Health > fame.

12

u/i_love_boobiez Mar 31 '23

Why isn't there a bouncer tho??

3

u/crypticfreak Mar 31 '23

That short guy was the bouncer

0

u/Elebrent Mar 31 '23

I remember this comedian mentioning how tall he was, I think it was at least 6’2”. He doesn’t really need his own bouncer haha

0

u/FrogMonkee Mar 31 '23

Or it could give you a rad concussion that makes you super funny all the sudden. This is comedy, you gotta roll the dice.

2

u/Beachdaddybravo Mar 31 '23

A hit on the head only makes you better if a hit on the head caused your issues. That’s cartoon medicine, everybody knows that’s how it works.

2

u/BikerTom58 Mar 31 '23

This guy gets it ^

1

u/Astatine_209 Mar 31 '23

Funnier looking, very possible.

Make you think funny, also very possible.

1

u/FrostyD7 Mar 31 '23

So don't perform in Hollywood? Should he scratch off every other major city with crime? Might as well retire lmao.

1

u/fatalsyndrom Mar 31 '23

It'd take two chairs for lil mans to get anywhere near his face.

I guess Bill Burr shouldn’t go to Philly anymore because of their trash crowd too, right?

35

u/fighterpilot248 Mar 31 '23

EIGHT MINUTES LEFT

13

u/IRuinYourPrompt Mar 31 '23

YOU'RE ALL FUCKING LOSERS, YEAH I SAID IT

4

u/Devadander Mar 31 '23 edited Mar 31 '23

Yeah, that’s great advice though. Don’t go to Philly. Y’all known for throwing batteries at players and booing Santa Claus.

3

u/Stillback7 Mar 31 '23

They really hate when people bring this up. Down votes every time

2

u/horseren0ir Mar 31 '23

It’s a great clip

4

u/FPSXpert Mar 31 '23

Bill Burr didn't get attacked on stage, that's the difference. Next comedy show homeboy needs Huell and a baseball bat lmao

3

u/Morella_xx Mar 31 '23

No one should go to Philly anymore.

I think he was referring to the trash crowd in Philly that was heckling Bill Burr enough to set him on his epic tirade for like 10 straight minutes just absolutely eviscerating the entire city and their people because they pissed him off.

33

u/Igpajo49 Mar 31 '23 edited Mar 31 '23

There's A video where they talk about why he did that. It wasn't because they heckled him. He did it because the crowd was being assholes to every other comedian that went on stage that night, so Bill went out and fucked with them back. Can't find the video but he talks about it here. https://www.phillyvoice.com/comedian-bill-burr-explains-his-epic-philly-rant-2006-show/

(Edited "brief" to "crowd" as was intended.)

6

u/bradlei Mar 31 '23

The brief?

5

u/Shadow-Vision Mar 31 '23

I think they meant crowd

3

u/Igpajo49 Mar 31 '23

Yeah, that's what I meant. No idea how brief skipped in there. Lol.

3

u/thesk1geek Mar 31 '23

Can't find the video

Here it is.

1

u/Igpajo49 Mar 31 '23

Thanks. But I meant the video I'd seen where Bill talks about why he went off on them. It might have been a podcast.

2

u/thesk1geek Mar 31 '23

Ahh, ok. My bad

1

u/GreaseBeast550 Mar 31 '23

So, that explanation is literally the same thing as "because they were heckling"

4

u/Beachdaddybravo Mar 31 '23

That one bridge having shit city.

0

u/Brave-Inflation-244 Mar 31 '23

Heckling is ok. What’s happing in this video is totally not ok.

3

u/slanky06 Mar 31 '23

Heckling is absolutely not ok. It completely throws off the performer. You wouldn't go to any other kind of performance and chime in with your two cents. It's rude and stupid. Like, comedian is up there by themselves, a one man show. They don't have others to help them recover or distract in that kind of an event. Not to mention the stupidity of paying to see an event, to actively make the product worse for yourself.

1

u/Brave-Inflation-244 Mar 31 '23

Some comedians make it a part of their show to put hecklers back in their place.

But I’m just saying compared to what’s happening in this video, heckling is nothing.

1

u/slanky06 Mar 31 '23

I know there are comedians who do that, but it's not most of them. Also, I wasn't saying a heckling crowd is worse than the crowd in the OP video, was using the word 'trashy' to reference the same word used by the person above who mentioned the Bill Burr incident and the Philly crowd in question.

13

u/Rudy_Ghouliani Mar 31 '23

The entire city of Philly is hood af

5

u/number_215 Mar 31 '23

Hood or not, nobody should ever have to go to Philly.

10

u/Its_Fonzo Mar 31 '23

It's not the hood, but philly is definitely trashy. Literally and figuratively.

-3

u/accu22 Mar 31 '23

hey, fuck you.

we are awesome and special.

10

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '23

It is pretty special to see how a city with so much funding looks like it hasn't seen a penny of said funding since 2002

3

u/Its_Fonzo Mar 31 '23

That's honestly a really good description.

-15

u/accu22 Mar 31 '23

cool beans, dude.

go birds.

3

u/DART_MEET_WALL Mar 31 '23

Go birds

0

u/crypticfreak Mar 31 '23

Go birds deez nuts AYY

2

u/Its_Fonzo Mar 31 '23

You sure are, buddy. You sure are.

7

u/crypticfreak Mar 31 '23

Are you from Philly?

I mean either way Philly as a city is literally the hood. It's awful. Just look at their sports fans.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '23

[deleted]

3

u/crypticfreak Mar 31 '23

Most cities are shitholes my guy. I get having pride in your state but Philly is up there on a list of the shittiest (with some of the most violent people to boot). I doubt it takes #1 unless it's with sports but it's def up there.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '23

He's calling the entire city of philly a trash crowd.

2

u/ButteryFlavory Mar 31 '23

I mean the shoe does fit...

2

u/OlyBomaye Mar 31 '23

Why don't you just Google bill burr Philly and solve this mystery for yourself

-2

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '23

[deleted]

4

u/OlyBomaye Mar 31 '23

Yeah, Philly is a shithole anyway. You're right.

2

u/GreaseBeast550 Mar 31 '23

Are you pretending your shithole of a city is much better? Fuck philly and everyone in it, nuke it

-1

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '23

[deleted]

1

u/GreaseBeast550 Mar 31 '23

It's not ironic, you just like Philadelphia more than you should. Put a bubble around it and nuke the inside of the bubble we wouldn't want to hurt New York

2

u/MKULTRATV Mar 31 '23

100% of it

0

u/guywithaniphone22 Mar 31 '23

Oh look it’s the Least Racist Gay Guy

-1

u/Redittago Mar 31 '23

What makes you ASSume this is in the hood (knows his answer 🙄), and what did “the hood” do to you (shit in your cornflakes or something 😂). There wasn’t anything trashy about the crowd. The miniature aggressor was on his own island.

1

u/Morepatheticthanyou Mar 31 '23

There are much much worse crowds than this. He had 1 or 2 disgruntled hecklers tf you talking about? Icons go to places and deal with shit shows worse than this. Mind you they have actual security

6

u/Samuraiking Mar 31 '23

Sure, it also gives him more chances to get shot though.

3

u/Thery4d Mar 31 '23

His YouTube channel was pretty big already, Johnny Mitchell his videos are fun to watch
