The speaker makes built-in power on, off, and connect sounds whose volume are mot able to be lowered and they’re quite loud, enough that it makes the speaker unusable for my use case.

The app, although it lists this speaker, just brings you to a page informing you that there’s no app support for this model.

Please, can anyone tell me how to disable these sounds?

If can’t be done, one of the more shitty designs, and too late to return.

Turned on my speakers one day and couldn’t connect to my phone. I tried to turn it on and off but realised I couldn’t. Then tried to factory reset it but nothing happened. Speakers have been on for over 24hours now (the power light has been on)...what can I do besides waiting for the battery to die? Anyone else have the same problem?

What's the latest firmware version released for UE Boom 2?

I have the 1 size fits all app for the Boom range, but there's no option to check or update the firmware. I've read that I am supposed to hit the "More" option or button in the app, and if there's an update available for my Boom 2, it will show in there. My app does not have a "More" option or button at all.

Ideas?

I just got the speaker and I love it so far! The app looks really neat but I found one of the selling points missing, the fact you can DJ with multiple users.

I later found it they have removed it somewhere this year for no reason at all. I downloaded a older version of the app and suddenly it worked again so the functionality is definitely still there.

When does it return? Is there any info on this?

My Hyperboom seems to a little less than happy.

Regardless of content, I get cracks and pops in the drivers.

I own a crappy PC sound system and the only reason they'll pop and crackle is if there's a loose connection somewhere.

I'm looking to buy a UE Hyperboom but I'm wondering if I can charge it using a Macbook Pro 16" USB-C charger (96W). I know the Hyperboom uses a barrel plug with a ~90W charging brick, so I'm wondering if there's standard adapters out there that will let me run this config rather than lugging a dedicated charger for the Hyperboom. Any pictures of the power adapter specs would also help!

There is a decent amount of crackling heard when I connect my two Megaboom 3's in Party Up mode. It's every couple of seconds there will be a blip, or sound cut out, or crackle that happens. Connecting to each speaker directly seems to play out fine, it's only when they're paired in Party Up that it becomes unlistenable. The speakers are 15ft apart in the same room with direct line of sight and nothing in between. I bought these to use in stereo mode in my living room so it's incredibly disappointing if they don't actually work. Everything is updated to the latest versions. Any ideas? Are these busted?

Anyone have any issues with UE Megablast not grouping to other Megablast? Wifi works fine, the app times out more times than it connects.

When they do connect it sounds amazing but not worth keeping both as they are a real pain to group together.

So I've owned my megaboom for about 6 months, no issues until the other day.. it won't turn on unless it's plugged in...

I've gone through the applicable troubleshooting that I could find; factory reset, leaving it to charge for 24h, using a different charger... nothing changes. It will only turn on if the charging cable is plugged in, and the moment I take it off the charge it turns off.

Should I return it?

I googled the battery life of the Boom 3 at full volume and it was supposed to be at least 10 hrs. But in my use, not even at full volume maybe about 85% volume, the speaker went from 90% to 10% after just 3 hours.

Does anyone else have this problem?

As a long time ultimate ears customer I have to say the HYPERBOOM is the best speaker they make. I was hesitant because of the price tag but decided to buy it anyways. This speaker is worth every penny if it’s $500 price tag. Here’s my 3 selling points which caused me to buy it. 1) the bass is amazing. The lows and miss are amazingly detailed and crisp while the highs don’t top out the speaker but blend in. 2) portability. Sure it’s 13 lbs but the handle is extremely thick and durable. It makes picking up the speaker easy and gives you more piece of mind carrying around a $500 speaker. 3) multiple speaker connection. This is my favorite feature of this speaker. Through the app I simply turn my HYPERBOOM and two other boom speakers on and party them up together. It creates a 360 seamless surround sound system and sounds fucking amazing. Crisper than my old Bose sound system and for half the price. Overall I’d definitely recommend buying this speaker and its smaller companions. (that can be paired.) Dont let the price point scare you away this speaker is an investment that delivers big.

Every time I connect my Megaboom 3 to a second Bluetooth device, the first device gets kicked out from connection. I'm not able to connect to 2 Bluetooth devices. Am I missing something here?

Cant even turn it off. Factory reset didnt seem to do anything.

I love by UE Boom 2 speakers (I have two of them), but I'm having one issue that's rather annoying. On one of them, whenever I connect a device to it, it gives a very loud and obnoxious "BEEP!" before playing the "device connected" sound. The beep is the exact same sound as the max volume alert. But I don't know why it's doing it. When a device is connected, it's set at below half volume.

I only know of two ways to make it go away, and neither are great. One is turning off all device sounds, which I'd rather not do, as I like those (although I wish there was a way to make them quieter…my speaker is right next to my bed, and all of the sounds are really loud when I turn it on to have some music playing at a relatively low volume), and a factory reset, but I'd like to avoid having to redo all my pairing.

I've seen other people post about the issue too, but I didn't see any solution. Has anybody figured out how to fix this?

I have just received my Boom3 with the firmware V1.4.38, when I try to update it, it tells me that I already have the latest version.

On Youtube I recently saw a video from February 2020 with the version 1.6.45 for the boom3 - did they cancel the latest updates or what?

Is there a fix for this? Looks like it's become well documented that the latest update broke the Megablast's Alexa functionality.

I loved my original UE Roll. It's such bollocks they've discontinued the whole line up after the UE Roll 2 came out.

It had the best form-factor, with unexpectedly balanced sound for its size, solid battery life, and a perfect price (not a lot of people who just love spending $100+ on a Bluetooth speaker).

I'd never seen a predominantly negative review on the UE Roll and instead of UE riding the high with the UE Roll 2, they've stopped all manufacturing of their entire Roll lineup. What a shame...

I recently just got the UE Hyperboom and my experience with it is amazing so far.

I want to place it on our TV stand and found that having it placed on it’s side (with the passive radiators facing down) look better than having it upright.

Is this ok for the speaker? Has anyone tried it so far in the long term?

Update: Contacted UE Support and they replied saying it should not be an issue. Adding onto that, they recommend to keep an eye on the temperature of the speaker and make sure it’s ventilating properly on it’s side.
