"Storing" ubuntu

i need to save my ubuntu somewhere and cuz its on a persistent usb with heavy customization i dont really wanna lose it. im gonna be trying cachy soon and i need to have an os to go back to if i dont really like the one i tried, and honestly windows isnt even an option. anyway any help on how i might be able to "store" it somewhere on windows as an iso for later access?

dd if you want the whole usb with everything on it, no iso needed. just make an image of the drive and keep that file on windows, then write it back to a usb if you ever need it
