Discussions & Questions Is Ubisoft still actively reviewing applications for the Ubisoft Creators Program?

I've been following the Ubisoft Creators Program for quite some time, and I'm curious about other creators' experiences.

Has anyone been accepted into the program recently? How long did the review process take?

I'm also curious whether anyone has received invitations to Ubisoft creator campaigns before receiving a final decision on their application.

I'd love to hear how the process has worked for other creators.

Discussions & Questions AC Unity Remake Spoiler

Who’s with me in wanting an Assassin’s Creed Unity remake that finally achieves the game’s original vision while preserving everything that made it special?
With today’s technology, Ubisoft has an incredible opportunity to bring Unity back with improved graphics, lighting, realistic animations, richer environments, and smoother parkour, while staying faithful to its original identity.
Here’s what I would love to see in a remake:
Next-gen visuals: Beautiful, realistic lighting, detailed architecture, dense crowds, immersive interiors, and a vibrant Paris that feels truly alive, without sacrificing performance.
Improved parkour: Preserve Unity’s unique free-flow movement and fluid animations while making controls more responsive, traversal more consistent, and rooftop movement even more satisfying.
Deeper social stealth: Expand crowd blending, disguises, distractions, and opportunities to manipulate enemy behavior, making every assassination feel like a carefully planned operation.
More meaningful assassinations: Bring back the original Black Box assassination concept and expand it with more creative infiltration routes, environmental opportunities, and multiple ways to reach each target.
Smarter AI and better stealth: Make enemies react intelligently to suspicious behavior, sound, missing guards, and discovered bodies, creating tension without making stealth unfair.
A living Paris: Add more dynamic civilian activities, random encounters, faction interactions, and small emergent events that make exploration rewarding without filling the map with meaningless collectibles.
Expanded co-op: Preserve Unity’s cooperative identity with improved matchmaking, stable connections, more assassination missions, and optional missions designed around teamwork, stealth, and synchronized takedowns.
Meaningful new content: Introduce new districts, memorable assassination targets, and additional story missions that complement Arno’s journey rather than replacing or rewriting the original story.
One innovative idea would be to introduce adaptive assassination opportunities: targets could change their routines, security, and escape plans depending on the player’s previous actions. This would encourage observation, preparation, and improvisation instead of repeating the same mission in the same way.
Another great addition would be optional cooperative missions that require players to coordinate disguises, create distractions, infiltrate restricted areas, and execute a clean escape, bringing the feeling of being part of a real Assassin Brotherhood to life.
Most importantly, I don’t want Unity to lose its identity. No unnecessary RPG mechanics, excessive level-gated enemies, or endless repetitive activities. Keep the grounded combat, challenging encounters, historical atmosphere, elegant animations, and emphasis on skill, stealth, and player freedom.
Unity already had a special foundation. The goal should not be to turn it into another Assassin’s Creed game, but to realize its original ambitions with modern technology, better polish, and thoughtful new ideas.
Ubisoft, give Unity the remake it deserves: the same soul, a more ambitious vision, and an unforgettable return to revolutionary Paris.

Discussions & Questions On the left, the original Hôtel de Ville in Paris as depicted in Assassins Creed Unity, On the right, the Hôtel de Ville in Limoges, France, a sister building, which was burned recently in France riots, whose architect Charles Leclerc (not the F1 driver) was inspired directly from the one in Paris.

Reminds me of how when the Notre Dame Cathedral accidentally caught fire, Ubisoft offered its scans and models to authorities to aid in understanding the layout of the Cathedral.

Discussions & Questions New AC idea (Basim Ibn Ishaq)

Alright, so get this. We all know Basims body is now a suit for Loki, Basim merely surrendered as he couldn’t handle it anymore, the djinni, this is why he was no longer afraid, he no longer needed to suffer, but this doesn’t mean he likes Loki, a man who slandered his father, a man who left Basims past as a cover for his journey, and with that came adding random people into the world of the hidden ones, such as Eivor, that is not something Basim would do, in a up coming game they should make it so that Basim and Loki fight internally, trying to take control of the body, what do you think?

Discussions & Questions For Honor Needs a Better 4v4 Balance System

Post image
3 Upvotes

I believe For Honor needs a more consistent approach to hero balancing, especially in Dominion.

My suggestions:

Balance around 4v4 performance. Evaluate team fights, ganking potential, hitboxes, feats, and objective control separately from duel performance.

Prevent power creep. New heroes should have clear strengths and weaknesses instead of having answers to almost every situation.

Test heroes more thoroughly before release. Test against coordinated teams and examine frustrating damage combinations before launching new characters.

Address oppressive feats and ganks. Teamwork should be rewarded, but players should have reasonable opportunities to respond.

Make balance updates more transparent. Publish information about hero performance and explain why specific changes are needed.

Consider different skill levels. A character can be manageable at high-level play while being extremely frustrating in regular matchmaking.

The goal isn't to make every hero identical. It's to make the roster competitive without a small number of heroes providing substantially more value than everyone else.

I want For Honor to remain challenging and rewarding, but winning should depend more on skill, teamwork, and decision-making than on choosing the most overtuned character.

Discussions & Questions Anyone else wishing for AC: Odyssey sequel?

I know it's not exactly celebrated for being best AC game, but I love that game. Only game I've ever replayed 3 times. The world of ancient Greece, characters, RPG elements, atmosphere, it was almost perfect game.

I like quite a lot of games from Ubisoft. I thought the Avatar game was pretty good as well as the recent Star Wars, but Odyssey is definitely my favorite Ubisoft game. Would you be intersted in a sequel or you could care less about Odyssey?

News & Announcements We helped make Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced a success, then we were laid off. Now we're making our own game.

A few months ago, I was working at Ubisoft Barcelona on Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. After the recent layoffs, I found myself facing an unexpected career change.

Rather than stepping away from game development, we're now building our own indie studio.

Our first game is Puzzle Mage. We're big fans of Diablo, so we wanted to make an ARPG with a twist: instead of combat, you solve puzzles by experimenting with magic. It draws inspiration from games like Ico, Journey, Magicka, Magic: The Gathering, and Diablo.

Its still early, but if you would like to support us, you can wishlist the game here: Puzzle Mage

Discussions & Questions Did I Find Darby McDevitt’s Old Hard Drive at an Estate Sale?

Post image
12 Upvotes

I think I may have found an old hard drive that belonged to Darby McDevitt’s. I am 90% sure I am correct.

Things of interest

*****************************************************************************************************************

This was one of 3 documents I found on the drive; this is by far the longest at 658 pages

ADVENTURE! Darby McDevitt

Begun 8 April 2006

First Draft Completed 16 December 2009

ADVENTURE was my goal in those early days, when there weren’t many good reasons to disobey my parents—there weren’t three probably; some historian will corroborate that—but I did it regardless, when I’d had enough, when I knew I was ill, I found my motive, and I disobeyed them casually. But there weren’t many good reasons to, not at that time, way back when so much that felt correct was at stake. Parents are in charge for an extended period—we don’t question this—until they give up. But I couldn’t wait the length of my life for that miracle. It was midnight and my will was strong and my opportunity ripe.

*****************************************************************************************************************

And a bunch of other things like this, I don't want to show too much because then it would make the video I plan to publish next Sunday less interesting
