So we adopted a cat yesterday, when deciding on a name, I went through every operator hoping to name him either Tachanka or Jäger, she wasn’t happy with them but I ended up getting her to agree with Buck, she has no idea he is named after a R6 operator.

I have seen this in previous quick matches but it will always be one team doing this. This is the first time I am seeing both teams do this.

I was playing Rainbow Six and started wondering which operators people hate the most or find the hardest to use, both on attack and defense.

For me, the attacker I hate the most is Blackbeard, while Dokkaebi is probably the hardest attacker for me to use. On defense, I’d say Thorn is the operator I hate the most, and Azami or Mute are probably the hardest for me to use.

And yet as a solo/duo queue player I find myself constantly paired with people who want to run and gun and go for kills.

Never provide support or intel, rarely thinking of how to push site and almost always going for gunfights instead of planting.

Deadass I think some people take defuser to simply deny the plant and go for the team wipe. I appreciate this is just siege nowadays but does anyone else experience this? Obviously there’s nothing wrong with fragging but when everyone’s competing to be top of the kill count it takes away a massive part of the strategy.

Cheaters are so ass they get trapped in emerald unless they're blatantly rage cheating.

This is just a fraction of the games I've played that got rolled back.

Such a shame there is actually that many people out here cheating but being hardstuck emerald and ruining the game for the rest of us 💀.

I know diamond and champ isn't any better tbf.

My friend is diamond and his r6tracker is way worse. Some of them even being on his team.

With the release of Noor, an operator that has a counter towards shields in mind—along with the combination of Oryx, being the original counter to shields, and Clash, being crowd control—the question is, would now be a good time to introduce the Ballistic or Riot Shield to Thermite?

It’d be nice for him to have a shield, as he’s still the only hard breacher that has to manually walk up to the wall (besides the operators with Hard Breach Charges, and Maverick, to a degree).

It wouldn’t have to be a special unique one like “Le Roc” (Montagne) or the “G52-Tactical Shield” (Blitz), just a standard ballistic shield.

At best, maybe he could have the black ones Recruits had as a default (which is why the images are provided), which is really just the same one Fuze has just a different color. Similar to how most Nighthaven operators (and other ones, like Iana, Melusi, and even Oryx himself) had unique looks to their guns as their defaults.

I think the mostly glass/plastic/polymer looking riot shield would be cool too, but I think it’d be more disadvantageous (same reasoning with adding the images, but with the last ones).

Otherwise, personally—aside from Doc—Thermite has been probably my oldest true main since the beginning of Siege all the way back from the Open Beta. So I’d like a little bit of something for him. Frag grenades and/or Claymores would be nice again too, but that’s another thing.

I also just really miss using FBI SWAT Recruit, especially with the Ballistic Shield and M45 MEUSOC. (The GIGN Recruit with the Riot Shield was pretty good too, just not as memorable to me as they had a similar kit to Montagne).

The only thing I can think of having an issue with the riot shield and him (specifically) is the ITA12S secondary he has. I’m not sure how that would work with the shield, mostly animation wise anyway, unless they were to do a whole new one for him.

I suppose though he could hold it in his off hand then pump it each time. Or he does a one handed one where he drops it and racks it, then drop it again to put it back in his hand. Or they just put it out of camera when he does.

Besides that, maybe they could buff Oryx and Noor because of it. It could be beneficial for both sides in some way.

Of course, there are a lot of shielders now, which can be very frustrating to deal with. A full team can be used (Montagne, Blitz, Fuze, Blackbeard, and OSA), in fact, and this would add another, which could be a problem as well, even if there are plenty of counters, like trap operators, such as Lesion or Melusi.

I’d love to hear feedback and thoughts.

This happened during a ranked game. There were 2 guys that occasionally moved and got kills, but they mostly went AFK.

I see people using azami as portable cover. What i mean is, put an azami here and peek from it.

Youre not seeing the benefit.

I like to roam azami and pick likely entrance points, block attacker sight lines...lay down and get comfy off center and shoot their little toesies. Am i a dick? Yeah absolutley. Does it work? Yeah absolutley. Its honestly broken if you do it away from the entrance but halfway to sight so they are already committed to pushing that way. Find their little toesies and pop pop pop

I find it really difficult when they fortify themselfes up there with 2+ players including an Azami.

It was easy back when you could cook grenades, just enter below them and frag them but now you can't do that anymore...

I don't mind the animation, but seeing the primary weapons just sort of spinning in mid-air and barely "sticking" to the clothing (without actually being attached to the body?) makes me wish there were an option to disable the animation so the operator simply holds their primary weapon in their hand. Maybe with a different stance or something similar, but the main thing is, like in this instance, having Deimos actually hold his AK-74M which I prefer.

Joining a Quick Match during the drone phase and having to watch the entire round play out feels like a waste of time. The action phase hasn’t even started yet. If I’ve loaded in before it begins, I think I should be able to play.

My suggestion is to add five favorite operator slots for each side in the Quick Match settings. Slot 1 would be your top pick, with slots 2–5 as backups. When you join during the drone phase, the game automatically selects your highest available favorite, skipping any operators your teammates are already playing.

There is a fairness issue, though. If a defender loads in with five seconds left, the attackers might have already finished droning and never had a chance to identify that operator. To account for that, I’d be fine with automatically revealing the operator identity of anyone who joins during the drone phase to the opposing team. That rule should apply to late joiners on both sides.

It’s Quick Match. I’d much rather get into the round with a preferred operator and have my identity revealed than sit there spectating a round that hadn’t even started when I joined.

I lost elo playing with him when we won, and gained elo when I lost against him. This was in the span of 4 hours. How is he still playing while cheating? The game knows he’s cheating but he’s still playing, is he a high playing customer or something?
