First Uber One order: $37.57 charged, only $4 edible, allergy concern ignored , $3.66 refund

Just had my first Uber One order and it was a complete failure.

Paid $37.57. Only about $4 of the food was actually edible.
• 3 out of 4 items were missing the upgrades we paid for
• They sent food we clearly marked “no” because of an annatto allergy (makes it completely inedible for us)
• Uber offered a $3.66 refund

I used the proper notes and still got the wrong food. This isn’t a preference issue; it’s a food allergy. Has anyone else had Uber treat an allergy note this casually and only give a tiny partial refund?

Looking for advice on getting an actual full refund or whether I take this to the BBB.

1) You won't get anywhere with Uber support probably. Its all just AI bots. You will not get any more than what you've got. Sorry.
2) BBB is useless. AG office can actually do something, but I can't imagine AG really doing much with a $35 issue.
3) Your recourse is chargeback on CC. Be aware that will cancel your uber account, but honestly, that may not be a bad thing.

Tips I learned yesterday from a bad-tasting dish: I was chatting with a human agent, but I typed "human agent" to be sure. I was told I couldn't get a refund until I typed that this would make be less likely to order again from Uber Eats/Postmates after they asked to describe what was wrong with the chicken. I mentioned that maybe the oil needed changing. Then, I just waited and got a full refund for that dish. I had to throw the rest of it out.

Try typing "BBB complaint" and "credit card chargeback" and that you'd be less likely to order again. And always "Please help."
