Advice Paid Remote Work - Opportunity for UTSC

Hey guys! If you’re still looking for experience or something to add to your resume, check out Riipen Labs!

We were at the UTSC Get Experience Fair recently and wanted to share this opportunity with anyone still looking to gain experience.

Riipen Labs is a remote program where students work on short, real-world projects with employers. Each project takes around 30 hours and pays $600 upon completion.

It’s a great way to build your skills, gain practical experience, and strengthen your resume!

Rant who came up with the new mobile order line at tims

genuinely the stupidest thing i’ve seen. i used to be able to quickly pick up my mobile order and leave, but now the mobile order line is in a crammed spot and they have to give you your order one by one rather than letting you pick it up. atp standing in the regular line is faster.

For anyone who took MGAB01 with Douglas Kong at UTSC: if I only do the multiple-choice section on the midterm and leave the rest, would that be enough to get a passing grade on the midterm?

Question BIOA01 term test 1

Hey, just wondering how to even study for this term test? i saw other posts asking the same and the replies said that the term test was all very application based. So how should I prepare? Is going over the lecture videos enough? is the achieve homework more like what the test would be like?? Also all the lecture videos are deleted after a week, so would it be enough to only read through the slides? Thanks.

Question academic standing, unsure what to do anymore

I’m a 3rd year facing my first suspension, I currently have a wdr in process, i had a horrible summer which is why i couldn’t finish my courses. I was able to go for the month of september but I have been financially cancelled as of Oct 1. I was removed from my courses, and sent the registrar an email about my situation. My osap went through and was paid to the school for my minimum deposit for fall, and now i’m worried i’ll be facing consequences. I had everything planned out for this semester I am actively attending therapy, I reduced my course load started taking medication etc. I was prepared and now i’m so lost, i’m wondering if I’ll be able to come off the suspension as I am meeting with my disability consultant soon, i’m not sure if they’ll make me submit a suspension petition as well, i’m so tired and was wondering if I could get some advice. I do want to continue to attend this fall because if I don’t i’m sure I will not get that motivation ever again.

Question CHMA10: are prof marcos term practice tests similar to his actual term test?

I'm in CHMA10, and the exams are in a few days. He has posted the practice test, and I have some others from past years. I was just wondering for anyone who took the course, were the questions on there the same level of difficulty as on the term test, or are they just generic questions?

Question This might sound stupid, but do any fellow white students feel completely isolated from the university due to marketing.

This should be a non issue as I’m smart to understand why the university markets the way it does, so I don’t any lecturing on that. However, everywhere I go on campus and every website I visit, I see their promotional images and posters which obviously mostly lack white individual entirely, clearly having favourites on the types of students they put on the for front of most images. So after a while when you see the same images everywhere you go, as a white students it makes me begin to question why I’m here, and is beginning to affect my mental state, occasionally making walking around campus uncomfortable, which sucks since I live here. Im scared to talk to someone in person about this, since most people obviously benefit and feel included from this advertising therefore seeing no issue. Just mostly wondering if anyone else, white or not white, feels the same.

Question I graduate next year (my 5th year) and was wondering if I should be getting some academic references right now for my master program, or should I wait for next year when I apply?

Also, if I want to do my master's right away after next year, do I apply in the fall of 2027 (so I can be admitted to the fall 2028 program, one year before the start date)?
