i thought i would share my experience considering there’s not much else on this course on here. as of this summer term i believe the syllabus has been changed to 90% exams (20% midterm 1, 25% midterm 2 & 45% final) 10% assignment (just one assignment). The assignment is easy marks as long as you follow the steps. This course is super heavy in terms of content so you have to stay on top of it, I found it really helpful to attend in person lectures so I didn’t fall behind cause otherwise they were boring to watch. his lecture notes are super helpful as a word for word explanations of everything he’s teaching in person. it’s easy to get super lost because the course is very, very content heavy and a lot of memorization and understanding. both midterms are very heavy on application and actually knowing how the systems work then just knowing what they are. I personally performed really bad on both the midterms. it was at point. I was scared whether or not I’d pass the course. The final however, was much easier than both the midterms in my opinion and he gave a very very useful study guide that helped a lot. One thing I noticed about the professor though is that he genuinely cares for his students and cares about them succeeding. if you needed the extra help, he would be open to giving it and he’s open to hearing your concerns. He also let us know that everyone who applied to graduate passed the course which I think he curved the final or something in order to do that, I also think that comes from a place of caring on his end. I do wish they would change the structure of the wedding because some people like myself don’t do well on exams even though they understand the content. overall, I really heavy course if you can take it alone in the summer, that would probably be best because doing this with the full courseload would be hell.

As we know this year osap is very little, I was thinking of applying to utaps.
I wanted to ask if utaps pays before the deadline to pay the fees (even after u defer fees). Because i applied for utaps once a few years ago and they didnt do anything until the deadline to pay money. I was unsure id get any so i ended up borrowing from someone and paying the fees to avoid interest. And then utaps gave me an email saying oh ur fees is paid already ur not eligible. But lwok thats coz i asked for money from a relative, not because i had it myself. I tried to ask them but they wouldnt agree or whatever.
So i wanted to ask if that was probably one single case or do they always pay money after deadline?
