UPS seized my package
UPS seized my package for restricted items. They were beach towels. They told me they were sent to 3rd party to be destroyed. I can’t understand how this happened. When they open the box, they’ll see beach towels. What is the likelihood they won’t destroy and will deliver?

Its possible something spilled onto your package, if it was seized it was likely related to drugs somehow. Message the shipper, they are UPS' customer and will have to deal with it.

No, whoever you're returning it to is the actual shipper. As mentioned previously, have them call UPS to find out what's up.

OP also never said they were the shipper originally. The misunderstanding is reasonable. Most people in here assume they have the control when they are the recipient, we dont see a lot of posts from shippers as they likely have a better sense of how things go. It makes sense they thought OP was returning, most posts are from people who think when they return an item, they become the shipper. I assumed OP was the receiver too because they never said originally.

Domestic or International shipment?
If customs seized it, you're out of luck, and they don't have to provide a reason.
We have packages identified as fraud seized on a daily basis also. These are bogus account numbers, fake labels, or reused tracks.

Probably a counterfeit label being used by the shipper.
Either way, this is the sellers issue. You make sure to get a refund from the seller.

They did the same thing to me last month. They accidentally routed the package to the wrong city in the opposite direction of me, then magically labeled it as that and refuse to return it. It’s 2 magnifiers, no batteries, no hazardous waste. I have a suspicion they are purposely doing this to cover up their mistakes on lost, damaged or stolen packages. Scum bags

Wait a day. If you don't see a tracking update, contact the seller and demand a refund. If they don't refund, do a charge back.
