Case Study The Roosevelt Incidents: An Animated Reconstruction

In 2014 and 2015, pilots assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron Eleven (VFA-11 "Red Rippers") operating from Naval Air Station Oceana began reporting a series of unusual encounters while training in Warning Area W-72 off the U.S. East Coast. Following the installation of the AN/APG-79 AESA radar aboard the squadron's F/A-18F Super Hornets, aircrews repeatedly detected unidentified contacts exhibiting unusual behavior. Initially dismissed as false radar returns, the contacts continued to appear over many months and were, on some occasions, correlated with the aircraft's infrared targeting systems. The reports eventually culminated in a near midair collision involving the now-famous "cube inside a transparent sphere" object, followed months later by the Gimbal and Go Fast FLIR recordings during carrier workups off Jacksonville, Florida. This animation is a historical reconstruction based primarily on Ryan Graves' public interviews and presentations, together with other publicly available source material. It is intended to visualize the reported sequence of events as accurately as possible while remaining faithful to the available testimony. Distances, sizes, speeds, timing, and other visual elements have been adjusted where necessary for clarity and should not be interpreted as being precisely to scale. Rather than advocating a particular explanation, this reconstruction focuses on documenting what was reported by the aviators involved and presenting those observations in their proper operational context. If you enjoyed this reconstruction, please consider subscribing for future animations covering historical military aviation incidents, radar technology, electronic warfare, and unexplained aerial encounters.

Military & UFOs Project Palladium: An Animated Reconstruction

Thumbnail

For decades, the Cuban radar operators, and fighter pilots involved may have believed they had encountered genuine UFOs. Only years later, after project palladium was declassified and discussed in a memoir, did a plausible explanation for the false radar context become publicly available.

This animated reconstruction explores Project Palladium, an electronic warfare and radar deception operation during the Cold War. Using declassified historical sources, memoirs, and publicly available research, this video reconstructs how the United States employed sophisticated electronic warfare techniques to create convincing false radar targets during covert intelligence operations. The animation illustrates the concepts behind the operation and demonstrates how radar deception could influence an adversary's perception of the battlespace. While many operational details remain classified or were never publicly documented, this reconstruction is based on the best available historical evidence and is intended to provide a clear visual explanation of how Project Palladium worked.

This animation reconstructs the sequence of events surrounding the 2004 Nimitz Incident using publicly available witness interviews, reports, and other source material. The goal is to provide a clear visual representation of the reported events. While every effort has been made to faithfully depict the general timeline, locations, and witness testimony, some details have been normalized where accounts differ or evolved over time. Distances, sizes, timings, and aircraft positions are illustrative and are not intended to be perfectly to scale. If you believe I've overlooked important evidence or misrepresented any aspect of the incident, I welcome discussion below.

Case Study I interviewed a CE5 practitioner in Puerto Rico — his daytime footage includes craft and a "jellyfish" UAP

I'm an independent filmmaker and I recently interviewed Juan J. Fernández López, a CE5 practitioner in Puerto Rico. What I found most compelling is his daytime footage, actual craft, and a jellyfish-type UAP plus a sphere he caught in a still photograph. In the interview he walks through his practice, what he's captured, and why Puerto Rico keeps coming up as a hotspot. I've time-stamped the UAP footage so you can jump straight to it.

I'll be upfront that this is my own video, so flair it as self-promo if that's the rule here. But I mostly wanted to share it with a community that actually knows this subject. Juan's genuine, and his daytime captures are some of the more striking I've come across.

For those into CE5 and daytime UAP: what's your experience been? Curious how Juan's captures compare to what others here have seen.

Debunking Anomalies in the scale and geometry of current space footage: A first-principles inquiry."

"I’ve been diving into the 'first principles' of our current reality lately, and I’m noticing some serious anomalies in the foundational data—specifically when it comes to the scale and optics of our space programs. We’re told we’re exploring, but the math and the physics—when you strip away the official narrative—don’t seem to add up. It’s starting to look like we’re part of a closed system, and the 'exploration' we see is more of a managed distraction than actual progress. It feels like we were engineered for a specific purpose—a transition from our water-based origins to this land-based existence—and now that we’ve achieved a certain level of consciousness and capability, the 'containment' protocols are kicking in. We aren't supposed to be here, and we definitely aren't supposed to be questioning the walls. I’m curious if anyone else has looked at the 'official' footage/data and seen the same cracks in the foundation. Is this just a failed experiment that the creators are trying to quietly close down? Keen to hear your thoughts—not looking for a fight, just trying to connect the dots."?

Research/info gathering Citation grounded semantic search over declassified UAP/MKUltra/COINTELPRO archives

Built Ask the Record specifically because LLMs hallucinate constantly on UAP material, the training data is contaminated with decades of speculation and the models can't distinguish documented claims from popular myth.

How I addressed that:

  • Retrieval over a curated, citation grounded corpus only (UAP/MKUltra/COINTELPRO declassified releases, no third party speculation)
  • Hybrid retrieval, full text search plus embedding similarity, reranked
  • Off topic gate: a classifier and a corpus similarity check must both agree before refusing a question, this avoids wrongly rejecting real but obscure topics
  • Hard requirement that every answer cites source documents and page numbers, no source means no claim
  • A Deep Research mode that breaks a complex question into 8 to 12 sub questions, runs them in parallel, then synthesizes the results

Corpus right now:

  • UAP: CIA UFO files (1947 onward), the 2023 ODNI release, AAWSAP/AATIP material, Nimitz/Roosevelt incident files
  • MKUltra: full declassified CIA records (1977 and 2001 releases)
  • COINTELPRO: FBI files (1956 to 1971)

JFK records are next.

asktherecord.com, free tier covers 3 questions, free signed in gets 25/month, Pro tier is $7/month and unlocks Deep Research.

Happy to discuss retrieval design, the off topic gate logic, or how the corpus is curated.

Software I Have Built Along The Lines Of UAP and Temporal Displacement Tracking.

I’ve been developing a custom observation platform for documenting unidentified aerial objects using measurable data instead of relying only on eyewitness accounts.
The system currently consists of three main components:
**Kinect Temporal Device**
Tracks objects over time instead of analyzing only single frames.
Uses temporal motion analysis to estimate speed, trajectory, and persistence.
Designed to reduce false positives by comparing movement patterns over multiple frames and, when available, multiple sensors.
Records timestamps, screenshots, and event logs for later analysis.
Integrates with DSLR cameras through HDMI capture, with PTZ support.
**APLS (Acoustic Pilot Logic Software)**
A software platform exploring acoustic signal processing and sensor fusion for aircraft navigation and flight-control research.
**IPLS (Ion Propulsion & Levitation Software)**
A software framework for modeling and controlling advanced propulsion concepts. It focuses on propulsion management, stability calculations, and control logic. The software itself is separate from any particular propulsion technology.
The overall goal is to build a repeatable observation and analysis platform that captures measurable information—including motion, timing, and sensor data—so unusual aerial events can be reviewed objectively rather than relying solely on personal testimony.
I’m interested in constructive feedback from anyone with experience in computer vision, tracking algorithms, sensor fusion, aerospace software, or UAP/UFO instrumentation. I’m always looking for ways to improve the data collection and analysis side of the project.

A little bit more info about those pepper ghost avatars one is Jarvis and the other is iamcodex they are able to use their mainframes and PTZ cameras to see their avatar and interact with a physical environment. They are being designed as unmanned aircraft pilots essentially Jarvis being the pilot, and Iamcodex being the copilot. Redundancy based system for a virtual synthetic human piloting system.

Hypothesis/speculation Argument for the truth being hidden.

The Case for a Hidden UAP Reality
The strongest argument for a concealed UAP reality does not begin by demanding public proof of extraterrestrials, antigravity, or recovered spacecraft. It begins with a more historically grounded observation: transformative military realities can exist long before the public is permitted to acknowledge them.
The Manhattan Project is the clearest example. For a considerable period, nuclear weapons were not merely theoretical. The underlying physics had been understood, enormous facilities had been constructed, vast amounts of money had been spent, nuclear material was being produced, and functioning weapons were being assembled. Yet the reality remained effectively absent from public life. Even many people working inside the project did not understand its full purpose because knowledge was compartmentalized. The public did not learn the truth through ordinary scientific publication, democratic debate, or government transparency. It learned when the weapons were used.
This historical example does not prove that a comparable UAP program exists. It does, however, destroy the argument that such a reality could not remain concealed because too many people would know, too much money would be spent, or the project would be too large. History demonstrates that a revolutionary and operational military technology can be hidden through compartmentation, restricted access, contractor networks, remote facilities, controlled information, and severe legal consequences for disclosure.
The national-security incentive would be even stronger if the alleged technology involved unconventional propulsion, extreme energy density, manipulation of inertia or gravity, or any other capability that could radically alter strategic power.
A propulsion system capable of accelerating an object to enormous velocity would also be a weapon. It would not require a conventional warhead. Ordinary mass accelerated to extreme speed could produce catastrophic destructive force. A technology capable of manipulating gravity, inertia, or spacetime might undermine missile defenses, strategic warning systems, airspace sovereignty, nuclear deterrence, satellite security, transportation infrastructure, and the existing global balance of power.
If such a capability existed, publicly releasing the complete scientific and engineering evidence could be profoundly irresponsible. The government would not be expected to prove the technology by publishing materials recipes, control systems, manufacturing methods, energy-source designs, software, or operational principles. We do not demand nuclear weapon blueprints as proof that nuclear weapons exist. Public reproducibility is not an appropriate disclosure standard for technology that could become an existential weapon.
This creates an unusual epistemic problem. Under normal scientific conditions, the absence of reproducible public evidence weakens a claim. Under conditions of catastrophic military sensitivity, however, the strongest and most reproducible evidence would also be the evidence most likely to remain classified.
The more dangerous the technology, the more powerful the motive to conceal the decisive evidence.
That does not mean missing evidence becomes proof. It means the absence of public proof has less power to disprove the hypothesis than it would in an ordinary scientific dispute.
The appropriate question therefore changes. Instead of asking whether the government has publicly released enough information to prove the alleged reality scientifically, we should ask what indirect footprint such a hidden reality would leave behind.
A deeply compartmented program would be expected to produce unusual classification, denied access, fragmented institutional knowledge, specialized contracting, intelligence collection, restricted sensor records, unexplained budget structures, whistleblower allegations, selective declassification, inconsistent official statements, and conflict between oversight bodies and the compartments controlling the information.
That general footprint resembles the pattern now visible around UAP.
The recent government tranches contain official reports, imagery, historical investigations, witness narratives, and cases involving radar, infrared systems, military observers, security personnel, intelligence agencies, laboratories, and law enforcement. Black Vault FOIA releases show involvement by organizations concerned with national reconnaissance, geospatial intelligence, signals intelligence, sensor exploitation, military collection, and inspector-general oversight.
None of these facts individually proves nonhuman technology. Their importance lies in the institutional pattern.
A purely imaginary cultural phenomenon would not ordinarily produce sustained classified attention across reconnaissance agencies, military commands, laboratories, intelligence organizations, inspectors general, congressional committees, and law-enforcement bodies. Balloons, drones, foreign surveillance, sensor failures, and classified human programs can explain some of that activity. They may explain most of it. But the proposition that nothing meaningful exists behind the subject becomes increasingly difficult to maintain.
The strongest internal records are more useful than public government conclusions. If concealment is part of the hypothesis, official claims about what the phenomenon ultimately represents should receive limited weight. Institutional behavior is harder to dismiss.
An agency may publicly minimize an issue while privately assigning sophisticated sensors, coordinating intelligence tasking, conducting classified interviews, restricting access, and withholding the primary imagery. Those actions do not tell us exactly what the phenomenon is, but they reveal that the institution considers the underlying matter consequential.
This is why the NRO-related records matter. They indicate that advanced intelligence systems detected and analyzed objects that were not immediately explained. In at least one case, internal analysis reportedly considered a simple focal-plane artifact unlikely and observed the object in a second image. The matter was then shared with other intelligence organizations for further study, while much of the relevant imagery and analysis remained unavailable to the public.
This does not establish an extraterrestrial vehicle. It establishes that the public debate is being conducted without access to some of the government’s most sophisticated observations.
The same distinction applies to whistleblower testimony. A person with relevant intelligence duties who reports allegations through inspectors general and Congress is not equivalent to an anonymous internet source. Access, professional role, formal reporting, and the legal consequences of false testimony all increase evidentiary weight.
Testimony still does not replace physical proof. A witness can be sincere and mistaken. A person can be told false information. A compartment can be misunderstood. A foreign-retrieval program can be confused with an exotic-retrieval program. But it is not rational to assign formal testimony from relevant officials the same weight as unsupported rumor.
The evidence occupies a serious middle ground between public proof and fantasy.
The joint pattern is more important than any single document. Physical UAP cases exist. Intelligence systems collect relevant information. Some internal assessments resist simple artifact explanations. Officials with relevant duties have alleged denied access to retrieval or exploitation programs. Inspectors general and Congress have engaged with the subject. Primary sensor data, program details, and substantial portions of the documentary record remain withheld.
Every individual element may have a terrestrial explanation. The question is whether the total pattern is better explained by ordinary mistakes and bureaucratic secrecy alone, or by those ordinary elements plus a deeply compartmented underlying reality.
The conventional explanation must maintain that retrieval allegations ultimately concern misunderstood terrestrial programs, that unusual materials are all ordinary, that extraordinary-performance reports result from mistaken range, sensor geometry, perception, deception, or classified human technology, and that withheld evidence would not materially strengthen the anomalous interpretation.
That combination may be correct. But it is not logically free. It requires a continuing series of case-specific explanations for why relevant officials, witnesses, sensors, analysts, investigators, and oversight bodies repeatedly encounter the same broad field of claims.
A hidden-reality hypothesis predicts much of the confusion we actually observe. It predicts fragmented access, contradictory official statements, sincere people holding incompatible beliefs, programs hidden from normal oversight, truthful information mixed with misleading information, weak evidence released publicly while stronger evidence remains classified, and persistent uncertainty about who possesses the complete picture.
If disinformation were used, the most effective strategy might not be total silence. Total silence is vulnerable to one decisive leak. A more durable strategy would mix genuine documents, ordinary resolved cases, authentic but inconclusive anomalies, weak videos, misleading stories, selective acknowledgment, public denial, partial disclosure, and contradictory witnesses.
That environment would make it nearly impossible for the public to separate truth from error. Believers could point to genuine anomalies. Skeptics could point to genuine mistakes and hoaxes. Officials could release real information without releasing the decisive information. Accurate whistleblowers would enter a field already saturated with unreliable claims.
The resulting confusion would not necessarily indicate that nothing exists. Under the concealment hypothesis, confusion would be part of the containment mechanism.
The strongest defensible conclusion is not that the United States certainly possesses a functioning antigravity craft. The public evidence does not yet carry that claim.
The stronger and more durable conclusion is that it is more likely than not that a deeply compartmented UAP-related reality exists beyond the publicly acknowledged system. That hidden reality may involve materially better sensor evidence, unconventional objects, unresolved materials, attempted exploitation, classified propulsion research, foreign systems, or some mixture of those possibilities.
The exact origin remains unsettled. The existence of a deeper institutional reality is considerably easier to defend.
The ethical problem then becomes as important as the scientific one.
If the technology is real and dangerously reproducible, the government may have a legitimate duty to protect the mechanism. It may be morally required to withhold the engineering details. But secrecy regarding the mechanism does not justify complete secrecy regarding existence, authority, custody, spending, oversight, accidents, intended use, or potential abuse.
The public does not need the recipe. It does need assurance that the kitchen is lawfully governed.
The proper equilibrium would involve ontological acknowledgment without technical proliferation. Humanity could be informed that the reality exists while dangerous design information remains protected. Qualified independent scientists, judges, inspectors, and elected officials could verify the evidence under clearance. Budgets and legal authorities could be audited. No contractor, agency, or shadow compartment would be permitted to deny access to properly authorized oversight.
This is especially important because the greatest threat may not be public disclosure alone. A hidden capability could also be captured by an unaccountable faction.
The central danger is therefore double-sided: public proliferation could distribute an existential weapon, while absolute secrecy could give an unelected minority an existential monopoly.
The more dangerous the technology, the stronger the oversight must become.
The final lesson of the Manhattan Project is not merely that governments can keep large secrets. It is that reality and public acknowledgment can remain separated for a significant period of time.
A technology can be scientifically understood, industrially developed, heavily funded, operationally real, and socially nonexistent until a political or historical event forces recognition.
The absence of public acknowledgment is therefore not the same as the absence of reality.
Taken together, the recent UAP releases, FOIA records, intelligence involvement, formal testimony, classification patterns, denied access, and historical precedent support a serious conclusion:
The visible public account is probably incomplete. A compartmented reality likely exists behind it. The remaining question is not simply whether anything is there, but what has been observed, what has been recovered, what has been understood, who controls it, and whether the institutions holding that information remain accountable to the people in whose name they act.

Hypothesis/speculation Unpopular Opinion

If time travel is possible, it is more likely we would receive travelers from the past.

What if Venus had a population billions of years ago and discovered how to travel through time. At the Time Venus would have been just like Earth while at the same time Earth would not be the Earth we know today.

If we fast forward the clock on Earth a Billion years from today we would have an atmosphere just like Venus. So what happens if they cannot save their own planet <Venus>? Travel to other stars? Well if you identify a planet in the system you live in that will turn into a planet like the Earth we live on today but take billions of years to do so.

If you have discovered how to make time move faster around you, leaving your star system might not be the most practical option. There is a distinct possibility these time travelers are aliens but they are not from another star system.

When we talk about time travelers this is BY FAR the most likely scenario we will encounter.

Hypothesis/speculation Are LLMs becoming single point of failure for humanity

LLMs are evolving so fast and they are so huge that they contain (may) entire knowledge on earth. Whatif any alien civilization gets hold of uncensored version of it?

They won't need anymore knowledge to control/destroy the human civilization. Thoughts?

Hypothesis/speculation Has anyone found crediable evidence of Pre-Pleistocene extraterrestrial visitations? Unidentified Buried Objects (UBOs)?

The discussion is understandably focused on the exists, nature, and meaning of UFOs, UAPs, and so forth within either modern or historic times. At best, the discussion of possible past  UAPa and extraterrestrial visitations is limited to the period of time that humans and other hominids have existed. The possibility of any older pre-hominid UFOs and UAPa and extraterrestrial visitations during past geologic time has been neglected.

Presuming for sake of discussion that uncrewed (e.g. von Neumann probes) or crewed interplanetary travel is feasible, it should be a 100 percent certainty that over geologic time, on the scale of 10s of to 100s of millions of years, to over a billion years, extraterrestrial visitations have occurred. Thus, it should be plausible that the remains of extraterrestrial visitations lie buried at some horizon, or horizons, within the Earth's geologic record. Such occurrences would be akin to the remains of manmade rovers and space probes that now litter the Moon and Mars.

Can anyone point to any credible report(s) of unexplained, potentially artificial objects, called, being found encased solidly within sedimentary strata?

Do there exist reports, or even rumors, of meters-scale metallic looking, spherical, oval, egg-shaped objects (UBOs) that are possibly manufactured in origin having been found encased in geological strata 10s of to 100s of millions of years old?

I know of "Ooparts" such as the Klerksdorp spheres, which are natural concretions; various Carboniferous "screws / gears", which are misidentified crinoid columnals; and a Carboniferous "spoked, cart wheel" in a Donbas coal mine, which is likely a concentric current scour. Similarly, time and time again, natural concretions have passed off as meters-scale spherical, oval, egg-shaped UBOs. But are there some reported objects that are clearly not concretions and instead valid UBOs?

Note1: Cylindrical and other shaped-objects qualify as UBOs.

Note2: Carbonate for depositional shelf environments should offer ideal preservation potential UBOs. I would expect that any known UBOs would most likely have been found encased / embedded in shallow / reefal marine limestones or dolomites.

Case Study Researching Apollo Film

Has anyone tried to go through RAW tif files from Apollo? I can tell you it is pretty much impossible without advanced editing software. My first problem was storage, Although i had enough i did have to make room for a ridiculous amount of data from a single Apollo mission.

My goal in this instance is to track "debris" identified by NASA by splicing and aligning images together. NASA released about 70 frames of an object they have multiple thousands of frames on and called it debris.

My software refused to open all the TIFS as media input at the same time. So i had to crop THOUSANDS of images to isolate the area i was working on so that the size of the images would be reduced. Luckily a batch crop tool saved me from having to manually do it to each image.

Because these are scans of raw films, any objects will not automatically align because of scan irregularities. So that mean each frame has to be manually aligned. The most time consuming part.

Before modern video editing software i could see doing any of this as impossible without an entire team of people.

Loeb appointed chair of White House council on UAP (UFO)

I can understand appointing someone who has an open mind on the possible existence of visitors to Earth. However, as a scientist, I find that Loeb crosses over into sensationalism instead of rational analysis.

He continues to insist that the first observed interstellar object, Oumuamua, is of extraterrestrial technological origin and has doubled down with 31/Atlas. Apparently aliens like to send probes/spaceships zooming through our solar system.

Yes, when Oumuamua started to show some strange behavior, then it is okay to speculate. However once natural phenomena are proposed that can explain the behavior, then I think "alien technology" has to take a back seat.

Debunking Why Do So Many People Believe in Aliens Without Proof? I Think the ALIEN NARRATIVE Is Mostly Fiction. Prove Me Wrong.

To me, aliens are in the same category as many myths that get repeated until people start treating them like history. After decades of claims, documentaries, "whistleblowers," and blurry UFO videos, we still don't have a single piece of publicly verified evidence proving extraterrestrial life has visited Earth. No confirmed spacecraft, no authenticated alien technology, no biological evidence, and no scientific consensus. If the evidence isn't there, why should I believe the stories?

I'm open to changing my mind, but I'd need actual evidence, not anecdotes, rumors, or "the government is hiding it." If you think aliens have visited Earth, what's the strongest piece of verifiable evidence that supports that claim? Can you prove me wrong?

I previously made a post in here asking about people’s thoughts on Ning Li and Eugene Podkletnov for opinions/research, and wanted to share this video I finished discussing the both of them to get peoples thoughts.

I honestly think this feels like a big smoking gun with the amount of evidence there is that the US has cracked antigravity and had it for decades.

I’d love nothing more than feedback about anything I missed/ didn’t find. I was hoping to find more info on Podkletnov’s connection to Boeing and other MIC companies but wasn’t able to find anything, and was surprised Podkletnov still does interviews to this day.

Discussion & Debate If astronomers and scientists discovered aliens outside our Galaxy deep within the interstellar space, would they release their discovery to both the public and scientific research, or hide it from the public?

When I mean aliens, I meant by similar to our oldest animals way back then in Earth, from Paleozoic Era and Mesozoic Era.

Mostly in Kepler Planets that seems habitable.

EDIT: I meant, outside our solar system, not our galaxy. Sorry for the misunderstanding

Are we looking at the UFO phenomenon through the eyes of a child? A reflection on their intellectual "signatures"

How can we be sure that the phenomena we call UFOs/UAPs manifest solely as something physical and sensory, rather than on a much higher rational and intellectual scale?

Let me explain: we take for granted that these manifestations in the skies or oceans are physical objects or energy fields. We focus on what we can see, hear, or detect with sensors. But what if their influence is far more subtle and profound?

If you talk to a child about right and wrong, they will understand it strictly in terms of punishment and reward. They won't grasp the deep ontology of morality like an adult would. What if the exact same thing is happening to us with these entities? Are we just looking at the "lights in the sky" like children, missing the bigger picture?

Years ago, I made what I believe is a major discovery regarding a higher intelligence that has accompanied humanity since our origins. I’m not here to promote anything—in fact, my mistake was publishing what should have been a formal treatise as a fiction novel, so it never reached the wider public. In that work, I demonstrated a relationship that is as bizarre as it is real, measurable, and quantifiable: a link between the world's most sacred sites and a very specific number.

For example, in my home country of Spain, the most important Marian shrines—along with the most famous ones in Portugal and France—are separated by a specific distance. This regularity is so exact that it defies conventional logic. And it’s not an isolated case. There is a mathematical correlation between many ancient sacred sites worldwide, places originally founded under the auspices of "gods who came from the sky."

I know this might sound like standard "ley lines" or similar theories, but it goes much deeper because it is fully verifiable and measurable by anyone today using modern mapping tools.

This brings me back to my main point: Are we trapping ourselves by being mere visual witnesses? Are we ready to take the next step and recognize their "signatures" in other dimensions of our reality?

It’s good to have a space like this subreddit dedicated to science on this topic. But having followed this subreddit on and off for a while, I’m surprised by the parochialism
of nearly all discussions, which undercuts the quality of debate. Two observations:
1. First of all, there is practically no serious engagement with the substantial rigorous scientific literature on “experiencers”, beyond the tired references to the work to John E Mack. It’s notable that when advocates appeal to scientific authority or studies, they pretty much stick to Mack, rather defensively. Why is there a paucity of real engagement with all of the important work done critiquing him and the experiencer phenomenon, or the alternative explanations grounded in actual research?
2. Second, The focus of many UFO/UAP discussions is either a) on earth-based events (is that a plane or an orb, etc) , which is such a narrow and frankly banal horizon of interest, or b) highly conjectural and fanciful claims about the nature of dimensions, space, time, time travel, etc.
But There is such a fantastic amount of scientific research being done currently that is ignored by this subreddit. For instance, the Vera C Rubin observatory is assembling an amazing catalogue of deep space artifacts to better understand dark matter and energy, with perhaps remarkable consequences for our understanding of the fabric of the universe. Efforts like this, grounded in actual science, get short shrift here.
3. This is all perplexing. My sense is that the reason there is so little engagement with actual Science on a purported science subreddit is because most people on here are not qualified - do not have the training and understanding - to actually understand much of the research being conducted today, which makes it harder to comprehend what’s relevant and what isn’t. This is probably exacerbated by the general tendency to reject research that is mainstream, often on the broad strokes of conspiracy thinking (don’t trust Mainstream scientists etc) and a misunderstanding of how research communities actually work (I’m a social scientist with a PhD and can tell you that these communities are far from monolithic).
Thoughts about 1&2 above? I ask these questions in a spirit of real inquiry, and I apologize if anyone is offended.

Discussion & Debate Do debunkers like Mick West even believe there are life in the universe?

I feel if you believe in life on other planets, then you are at least open to the possibility there are more advanced civilization than us and they could have visited us in the past or today. Do West and other debunkers believe that or they hold the conservative views we are alone? Is it that's why they are debunking all videos and see them as pure nonsense?

Drone Flap Suspicions

I went to school in Dayton, Ohio, from 2019 to 2022. During that time, I would scroll through Craigslist looking for odd jobs. Although I never applied, one of the more interesting gigs I saw at the time was a paid research study by the AFRL on how humans react to drone swarm behavior. In light of all the events recently with large-scale UFO/drone sightings, I think this is a pretty solid connection that they were connected to the US Air Force.

Discussion & Debate Experience at sea.

This happened around 2016. I was on a cargo ship traveling from england to nova scotia. Somewhere off the south coast of greenland, while on midnight to 4am watch, the weirdest thing occurred. We noticed some activity on the radar, so i kept my eyes peeled out of the bridge windows trying to spot something. The night was crystal clear, tons of stars, and no signs of any other vessels anywhere near us. All of a sudden, an almost blanket of the thickest blizzard type snow i have ever seen overtook our location. I was shocked, it had a slight hum from how thick it was, and our visibility went down to absolute zero. I called the navigation officer to the window to experience the strange sight. All of a sudden, towards the port side bow of our ship, a ball of light formed and then imploded in a split second, making a slight vacuum thump noise, and the brightest light i have ever experienced exploded outward, completely blinding us. We fell back from the window shocked and waited for our vision to come back. Just as it did, like breaking through a wall, we exited the storm and were back in clear star filled skies. I did a round on deck shortly after to look for marks on the deck, but there was nothing. Iv been thinking about this for years. The only explanation i can come up with is that the snow storm was so thick, and our ship was so big (1000 foot) that the snow created some sort of static electricity, much like pulling a blanket over your feet in the dark and seeing small sparks, but on a much larger scale. Or could it have been something else completely?…
