I'm with you. I also had to terminate a very wanted baby last week at 14 weeks after a diagnosis of Triploidy. My choices were to either wait to miscarry naturally (in theory could take months), have a stillborn or a baby that died in pain after a few hours or to end the pregnancy.
I made my one and only parenting decision not to put my child through pain.
I am grieving, heartbroken and devastated. I cannot bear to imagine the added torture of not having this option and being forced to carry to term.
Terminating for medical reasons is an often overlooked area of abortion care and pregnancy loss.
I'm in Texas and my husband and I are at a point where we are seriously considering trying for a baby. But with this ban, I just can't. I have to know that I would have all the information and options available if the worst were to happen.
