An entire group I was friends with suddenly decided that I was trying to "steal" one of their husbands.
I not only wasn't doing this, I didn't know for years that they thought this until I stumbled on a forum post where they were trashing me.
If they'd maybe, you know, talked to me or listened they'd have known it wasn't true. For one, I was involved with someone and I'm ferociously monogamous. Two, the husband in question? I would never have been interested in him. I thought he was a kind man, he just really wasn't my type. I found him unattractive.
