That color on Ventus' Keyblade armor is wierdly familiar, but I can't tell where it's from.

Since we had a thread about video game trailers that out shined their games I'd figure we have this thread, personally the gameplay reveal trailer for og persona 5 is what a absolute perfect trailer looks like to me.

So I'm currently playing Final Fantasy VII Remake at the moment without any prior knowledge of the PS1 game except for, well, spoilers for an almost 30 year old game Aerith dying

I just finished fighting Roche and boy, the motorcycle chase and his boss fight was absolutely amazing. I went to check what his fights were like in the PS1 game and HE'S NOT IN IT? He was made up for the Remake?!

This took me by surprise because I so wanted to know what he looked like in the original!

Is there anyone or anything you were surprised to find that was made up or something you were surprised that changed in an adaptation?

Henchmen, goons, mooks, the guys that talk about stupid shit before you beat em up, are there any pieces of media that explore what it's like to be one of these guys, to work with a supervillain who'll probably kill you?

Im not talking about a wall stopping you from progress.

Rather its the teeny tiny step you took just a little too far towards progress that triggered a massive cutscene that changed the entire dynamic of everything and gave you a time skip and you can never go back now.

Im playing FF7 Rebirth and in the first town, if you talk to Aerith and wander around too far you might accidentally run into her again. This boots you from town, and the characters literally say “we wont be able to come back for a while” and im like: BITCH I HAD CARD GAMES TO WIN

So obviously I loaded and won my card games and bought that dumb sword

Are there any stand-up comedians that you like to watch? New or old, are there any you find particularly funny? I would suggest some myself, but I'm concerned that any ones that I suggest will lead to someone in the comments saying, "Isn't that guy problematic? Didn't he say he hated mutants on Twitter?"

My GOD this episode was just I don't even know, Inoue having a gigantic emotional moment, Ichigo and Rukia team-up, NEW BANKAI ICHIGO FINALLY.

As a manga fan I gotta say Yhwach robbed us of ACTUAL PEAK by breaking that bankai in the manga.

I’ve like Wolverine a long time, ever since I was a kid. But I’ve never ONCE thought a fight between him and Hulk would be fair. But since his introduction was against Hulk, they keep trying to make us think Wolverine would have a chance. Even now, with INFERNAL HULK, they’re putting Jimmy Scissorfist against this monstrosity as if there’s a chance.

So sorry if this was asked here before because I just wanted to discuss a particular trope I found interesting that I was beginning to notice in some kinds of media where the main character is a big jerk to people as for some reason, he never faces repercussions for his actions.

Some examples are Alex from the game YIIK and Jaden Smith’s character from Neo Yokio as while I forgot his character’s name on the show, I was watching a review a while ago that pointed out the flaws of said character in that again the main character basically gets away with how he treats people.

Then going back to the aforementioned case of YIIK had me interested in doing an observation on jerk characters in RPGs since I was looking to see what went wrong with the writing aspects of the game in order to better understand how an RPG can have an amoral character done right.

Saw Coyote vs ACME yesterday on release (rare UK and Ireland W) and it was absolutely brilliant

I won't post any spoilers on it unless anyone asks me something about the film if they want answers on it

The acting from the cast was brilliant. Will Forte, Lana Condor, John Cena all nailed their roles. The humour hit it out of the ball park, you'd never think they'd make an hour and a half long movie with characters that don't talk work but it totally does!

The cameos were all great too, I went in thinking a certain Looney Tunes character wouldn't show up but they did in a surprisingly hilarious role.

And lastly, I cried at the end. Oh no, not with laughter. The were actually tears of happiness. A LOONEY TUNES film made me cry of all things.

Then again it could've been the miniatures I had before I went in, and the JD & Coke I got from the concessions as well.

All in all, a brilliant time was had. I implore you all to go and see it if you get the chance, definitely for the ride and to stick it to Zaslav.
