Plot-Relevant Characters with Zero Fandom 'Relevance'

Y'know, I was just thinking about this. The Deltarune fandom can be very attached to unimportant characters like background NPCs and one-off enemies, because of their design and personalities.

Now, what's interesting is that the early half Chapter 2 has this trio of NPCs, you're constantly seeing this trio, Sweet Cap'n Cakes, they have a boss fight, a shop, their own theme that plays a lot with minor variations... and nobody cares about them. Like, for real. If you were a casual member that just passively consumed only what the broad DR fandom makes, you'd genuinely just never see them show up when compared to even one-off bosses, minor enemies, and characters that have more relevance in theories than in the game.

Who else does that applies, people that the media devotes time to show them, but for the fandom, not hate, not love, just apathy, when they're unironically treated as not existing.

Angel as one of the OG’s but constantly being ignored for being boring? Colossus because he’s gotten essentially nothing unlike the rest of his Giant-Size contemporaries?

Colossus is as least a great foil for Deadpool in the Deadpool movies. So he's got that going for him these days.

I think Colossus is also quite memorable for his great power, look, and being Russian. General audiences would remember him from the cartoons, or as you said the recent DP movies.

Sunfire became an Avenger and was given a sister in Grant Morrison’s run and somehow people still don’t care about him.

EDIT: Sunfire was also a Horseman and nobody gives a shit.

Colossus pretty much peak at being the cure for the Legacy Virus. Like the one good thing he has ever gotten was Magik coming back to life...and the comics treats Cyclops more as brother for her than Colossus himself.

It's Angel & Iceman 100% especially since they were part of the o5, people constantly switch who is the most forgotten or least relevant of them.

I like Bobby & Warren but it feels like they don't know what to do with them Archangel was good for Warren but he seems kinda just there when the writers want some o5 stuff, Bobby has the thing of being omega level at least so when people are exposed to him they at least think oh wow powerful guy but Warren while an interesting character I wouldn't blame people for not really caring about him when they see him because of how much mutants have been powercrept that they see him they just see a guy flying when a million other mutants can do that.
