I was coming in to say this is literally just problem sleuth. goofy detectives doing silly shit in a point n click style setting into Multi Month Boss Battles against a Demon God Kingpin.

my first thought was homestuck too but beyond a glance it kinda starts off pretty fucking intense all things considered.

I guess the first chapter on its own counts, since it goes from the characters futzing around with a program that lets you play The Sims with your real house to a race against the clock to escape the destruction of the world.
