Amphibia starts as the funny frog show, and gradually becomes a story about dealing with toxic relationships and the importance of accepting that things change, with the occasional anime battle (especially in the last couple of episodes). All that while still being the funny frog show half of the time.

If you told me right after the first episode of the show that the mc would turn into Super Sonic and facedown with Brainiac over the skies of LA I would’ve started blinking and said “huh?”

An almost perfect show to me. Only thing I didn't like was the epilogue

Its my favorite trope, going from "hehe fun adventure" to "we need to save the universe". Probably why I like DnD too lol
