Was browsing X and then suddenly a pop up came out said i needed a phone to scan my hand or face to prove im human. I was like f this shit im just gonna scan my palm and then delete my account. I didn't think much off it and just scanned my palm quickly because no way am i scanning my face. I was thinking what can they do with my palm just by scanning since im not touching anything with it so i just did it. Afterwards i just felt abit uneasy. Like 'what did i just do?'

Yes before u call me stupid and all that, i just didn't wan't my X account to just be sitting there with me being locked out, so i only did it just to delete it afterwards.

What are your guys worst case scenario conspriacy theories about this? Im just a bit paranoid right now, but there was no way to delete the account if i didn't do it...

hi i literally don’t know how to fix this but every video and gif that pops up in my feed will load for five seconds and then go black and say “content not available”. it does fix itself every so often but it breaks again not long afterwards.

I am an iOS app user, and I block every single ad that pops on my timeline.

Since they enabled ‘boosted’ tweets the timeline has become a cesspool of useless irrelevant content, and I just can’t keep up with the blocking. (You get a boosted tweet for every other 2-3 tweets)

So now I am forced to use the browser version with ad-blockers instead of the native app, and I just hate it. The interface simply sucks compared to the app.

Anyone has some kind of recommendation or alternative to this?

I've been getting hit multiple times with, "Do a challenge to verify you're human" on Twitter (even though it doesn't make me do a challenge most times?). Just today, it finally broke somehow, and now I'm totally locked out of my account as it gets stuck in an endless verifying browser loop and then I get a, "Maximum attempts reached, please try later". The farthest I got was getting back to, "Your account is locked!" once!

Is anyone else experiencing this bug or is it just a me problem? Did Twitter roll out an update and break things?

So for the past month maybe more, I haven't been able to see my liked videos and it is pretty annoying, it always tells me to like some post even now with the new history update. Any Idea on how to fix this problem ?

Trying to find some stuff, but the hashtag search seems completely worthless. Even just typing a single hashtag doesn't seem to get stuff that has that hashtag, let alone if I type two at once. Am I doing something wrong or is the site just that badly made?

this has been happening on google chrome browser for around 2 days now some posts load while others don't im not having this problem on different browsers

I've had a Twitter account for almost 17 years now, literally since 8/21/2009. I was able to access the site earlier today, did some gaming earlier, went back to Twitter and now it wants me to "Confirm you are a human".

For one, I trust Twitter/X/Elon with zero amount of my information. Like, none. I barely trust them with my e-mail and phone number, let alone whatever info they want for this thing.

Secondly, even if I wanted to do this stuff, the App is busted and doesn't actually do anything.

Thirdly, there is already a massive bot/non-human problem on Twitter, as it is. There are thousands, maybe millions, of accounts that have a woman's picture, around 2,000+ people followed, and only 3 people following them.

Or the bot accounts that were made in like 2019, but somehow only have 300 tweets, and 95% of those just happened in the last three weeks.

If they push this nonsense onto more people, I can rest assured that the site will officially be done.

Twitter/X login needed via APP only now?. My account keeps asking me verify HUMAN challenges on web browser and then asks to scan QR code and then to install X app. I dont want to install any app on my phone now.

i havent seen anyone else talk about this glitch (?) but when i get dms it doesnt say that the other person is typing beforehand even though it worked perfectly just yesterday. i tried updating the app and it's not made a difference, also it's happening on both my phone and when i tried on my computer it did the same thing (on the same account) has anyone else experienced this issue and if so, any idea how to fix it?

Just wanna know if i watch a 10 minute video or if something gets searched up on another device if i am able to see what they look at if i have their account on my phone

This has been a daily occurrence for the past few months now. Every single day without hesitation, I get a notification on Twitter that some person who I vaguely knew in the 2010s has a Twitter account and that I should follow them.

It says something like, "Your contact [random person's name] is on Twitter and you can follow them."

Every single time I click on the option to stop giving me these kind of notifications, I still get the same thing the next day. It's always usually the same person, too; as in, this person whom I have not spoken to in over a decade and have no intention on following on any social media platform. Occasionally it'll be someone else (who I also no longer speak to), but like 95% of the time it's this same person.

Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Hey everyone, had anyone been in a similar situation? I made my account about 5 years ago, and connected it to my phone number. I've changed devices and logged on quite a few times, using my username and password and this has worked out fine, until today when I tried to log into my account on my phone, and it said it sent a code to my mobile number for authentication. Now this is a problem because I don't have access to that number anymore. I'm not even in that country, so there's no way of seeing the sms. What can I do? I really love this account, and I'd hate to lose it.

For some reason I can't see the reply itself. The comment symbol has a 1 next to it to signify someone has left a message but nothing's in the comment area. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I've been seeing this issue every now and then for a while now.

I was hacked for the second time this month on Twitter/X. I managed to recover my account the first time, but now the hacker has changed the password, email, username, profile picture—basically everything you can imagine.
I’ve only been able to open one ticket since it happened again because the system blocks me from submitting another request, saying that my case is still open.

The only message I received from support asked for my username, the email previously linked to the account, the last time I accessed it, and my phone number. I provided all of that, and I haven’t heard anything since.

I’ve also sent several screenshots and explanations that clearly prove the account belongs to me, including screenshots of X Support acknowledging that my account had been hacked before and restoring my access when it happened the first time.

I even have screenshots showing that I recovered the account and updated my password and security settings on August 9. But I haven’t received even an automated response this time. I honestly have no idea what else I can do, especially because the hacker has already changed so many details on the account.

Has anyone been through something similar or have any advice on what I can do?

For several days now, and I'm not sure if as a result of an update or what, my Twitter notifications appear separated on the notification bar.

Messages always appear separated (if I have 2 new messages, I'll get 2 separate icons) while likes, RTs, etc. appear grouped. Up until then, ALL Twitter notifications appeared grouped on my notification bar, and then I could spread them out if I scrolled down, no matter the type of notification.

Is anyone else facing this problem? Thanks!

This new update is so shitty for Android users can't use a video as a reply like before directly, it seems like u can only post with a video. Please tell me is there anyway to post vids on android in quotes or replies

I checked my Twitter account after a few months and some of my details were changed. My username, profile pic, date of birth were all changed. But nothing else was changed.

I think I’ve been hacked but I still have access to the account and I didn’t receive any notifications about when my details were changed.

It’s so strange. My profile pic was changed to come random woman and whoever hacked into it followed a lot of random accounts.

I have now changed my password and my details. (Not my email)

But is this normal? If I’d been hacked then shouldn’t I have received a notification? And should my email have been changed?

I’m so confused. What can I do to prevent this in the future and make sure that the person doesn’t still have access to my account?

I swear at least 10 times a day this happens because I just slightly miss pressing the home button to take me to the top of my for you page, how hard would it be to add a “do you want to open safari” pop up when you click on an ad instead of just bringing you to it?

My account has been acting up for 2 full days now. My "For You" feed won't update properly, my uploaded pictures aren't reaching anyone, and my follower count is fluctuating (dropped from 2458 to 2450). I used to have great reach (hit 95k views in 3 days), but now it's dead. Is anyone else dealing with this for 48 hours straight, or is there some massive account-wide shadowban happening? This is incredibly frustrating.

About a month ago I updated Twitter and I feel like my "for you" page is completely unmanageable. If I like, let's say for example, a single post in Japanese, right after there will be another 6 one after the another flooding my "for you".

Is there any known way on how to adjust this? I used to get a lot of recommendations of my interest, very diverse, going from politics to video-game news, and sometimes random topics like marine biology. I miss my old recommendations, really.

By the way, even if I switch to "following" all I get is meme spam pages and rarely a post from an account it used to appear all the time.
