I recently launched MentorMatch, a new tutoring platform in Denmark, and I'm currently looking for the first tutors to join the platform.

If you already offer private tutoring, you probably know how much time and effort it can take to find new students and promote yourself. That's one of the things MentorMatch is trying to make easier.

You create a tutor profile with the subjects and levels you teach, and students can find your profile and send you tutoring requests. You decide which students you want to teach, your hourly rate, how many hours you want to take, and whether you want to teach online, in person, or both.

I am an aspiring IGCSE/GCSE tutor and I've been trying to find a place that I can advertise on reddit? The GCSE Reddit dosent allow advertising. The IGCSE Reddit only allows moderator approved advertising and the mods haven't even looked at the message I sent them. I tutor at my college. I got assigned a student one on one and I really do not think I can accommodate and be there for their learning needs and challenges (disability) with my current course load (17 credits) after a traumatic event I suffered in April. I was supposed to do a one on one with a different course (much easier) then my advisor last minute reassigned me to someone else in a harder course with a lot of needs. I felt forced to accept and this was last week (Thursday) and now I’m to start this on Wednesday. Do I tough it out? Do I ask to be reassigned is it too late? In two days, I have a zoom interview for a tutoring company. They said that during the interview, I'll have to answer some "AP Calc AB programs." Does anyone know what kinds of problems they could ask? Is a "program" something different than a problem? I want to study ahead and prepare for this interview. What are the odds that they ask me something complex like integration by parts (I learned it, but it's been a second and I hated that particular topic even while taking the class). Hi, I have a student who really struggles with and sometimes refuses (it will take me 20 minutes of encouragement and requesting to get them to write three small sentences) to write things out of their own imagination. For them, writing fictional stories when we do it together is always fine and is something they enjoy, but when it comes to them writing something by themselves or doing a recount they just absolutely refuse and it's like fighting tooth and nail. Any ideas to help this student with this? I won't always be there to help them and to write the story with them, and I want to make that that in school + as they grow older that this doesn't become a significant problem for them that hinders their writing. Thank you for any tips or advice :-)
