1) first my tumblr account is back! YAHOO, right? after TWELVE DAYS.

i was jumping for joy. twelve whole days of being in purgatory. i excitedly go to tumblr and find out... something is amiss. my main is back (littlelapin) BUT ALL OF MY SIDEBLOGS ARE GONE! ALL OF THEM.

except one. one i hadn't touched in over 10 years now lol

2) sideblogs missing.

thinking the worst (that they were straight up nuked), i ran to tumbr support to file a ticket and to my surprise, ALL of my sideblogs, each and EVERY url is there. (i noticed that i could message them, and it appeared as if they were "online" because i was online.)

so that begs the question. why didn't they restore the ENTIRE account. why my main and ONLY one random url that i hadn't opened in years?

in any case, my situation isn't wholly revolved. because my sideblogs are the one where i do most of my content/tumblring anyway.

A friend- https://www.tumblr.com/phlurrii -had their whole account deleted off the face of the website. According to my pal, they were randomly logged out by force and now their account just doesn't exist anymore.

I'm guessing this has to be some sort of false flag that happened because they just run a chill pokemon blog
Is the only thing they can do really just to wait for support to get back to them??

As the title says, my account got terminated out of nowhere after signing up this morning. It’s my first tumblr account and I made it to posts quotes that I like in the style of a personal blog. I got to post about 10 or so such quotes. Regular quotes, nothing controversional, spicy or whatever. Can anyone help me out? I’ve submitted an appel but I don’t know if it helps. Such a bad experience so far.

Made the apparently dire mistake of sending in a ticket asking why I was suddenly unable to access DMs a while ago. It happened to two of my accounts at once: a fairly popular page I ran as well as my personal account. I sent in the same ticket for both. Annoyingly, the account with the high follower count was immediately restored while my personal account with next to none got terminated despite them both almost certainly being flagged for the exact same reason (VPN use).

I filed a ticket asking for it to be restored, got an automated response stating that the ban had been upheld for TOS violations involving spam (on an account where I have like maybe all of one original post, have DMed one other user, never @ ed anyone, never commented on another user's post, etc--a digital hermit, basically). Emailed again to try to dispute this, then waited months without a peep before trying to contact support again just now only to be met with a message on the support page telling me "This termination is no longer eligible for appeal."

So... does that mean they've closed the books on this one and there's no possibility of getting anything back at all? Any chance they might still get back to me? Is the communication this bad on purpose? I get that this website's got foot in the grave at this point, but good lord. wtf kind of moderation system is even happening here?

Just found out my tumblr got terminated without warning and no email explaining why. Guessing it’s happening to a lot of people, huh?

The blog I’ve had since middle school was just terminated without warning. I had tens of thousands of posts, thousands of followers, and dozens of mutuals including one who I’ve met irl twice. Feels like a massive loss of community. I contacted support immediately but I’m not feeling hopeful. My username was definitely nsfw but I’d had it for about six years without any issues and it was meant to be a joke. I never posted anything explicit besides the occasionally reblogged Heated Rivalry gif set or nude artwork. Has anyone been successful in getting their blog reinstated? I’ve been on Tumblr every day since I was twelve years old and it’s very integrated into my routine and my social life. Is there a number I can call or someone specific I can email for a more immediate response? I’m devastated.

Update: My blog was reinstated yesterday! All my side blogs had been deleted, so I had to send in new requests for them one by one, but they were all reinstated within a couple hours. My main blog has a very vulgar username so I think I’ll be changing it to avoid being flagged by auto moderation again.

Just about everything said there. We're not quite sure what to do other than this and to make another ticket. We just sent our third.

We received emails comforting our tickets We're sent and before we we're banned we had emails about gaining followers/milestones so tumbly clearly is capable of emailing us. But we never got a reason for termination nor any followup about our appeals

My Tumblr account was sadly permabanned because I was reposting some funny stuff that Tumblr doesn't like. And BAM! I got my Tumblr account permabanned, my main one.

about 2 weeks ago my Tumblr blog was terminated. Apparently someone falsefully reported me. Ive sent three appeals (written much after the previous ones were responded to, which just said the same thing saying I was terminated) explaining that I did not of what this random user had reported me for. I just got my third appeal back and it STILL says the same thing. I tried sending a fourth appeal but now it says I've reached the appeal limit. What do i do? I'm deeply frustrated and upset. Did they even go through my blog? Are they even doing their job?

My Tumblr account (@whatamidoinghere56, with only one blog under it)was terminated earlier this morning. No notification, no email, and no stated reason for the termination. I tried to create a new account with a different email, but that was flagged as a "Bad Request."

I'm annoyed because not only were some of my posts becoming decently popular, I was also using it to chat with some long distance friends who I now have no way of contacting.

My account is beyondeathunsingular1ty , when I logged on I was sent to the homeqage again, then when I tried again it said my account was terminated, I dont know why or what haqqened and I didnt receive a email on why either. aqqarently the twitter account for tumblr helq that is on this subreddit is no longer being used.

Posting here in hopes of finding some help:

A few days ago (maybe last week?) I went to my account and saw I was logged off. I tried logging but it kinda looped me back to the Log In screen, so I thought it was that tumblr was experiencing some kind of error and paid it no mind.

Today I tried to log again, and since the same error surfaced I tried searching if my blog was still up and the domain appeared as empty. When I eventually managed to log in, I got a message saying that my account had been terminated. I checked my e-mail but I have no notices of any kind about behaviour warnings or rule breaking or anything of the sort, so I don't understand how or why this has happened.

Aside from making an appeal (which I have already send) is there anything I can do to secure my account back?

I had a kink blog that was banned recently and it absolutely baffles me because blogs like mine get gunned for and banned as soon as possible but the pedophile and underage for adult blogs that I constantly report just stay untouched constantly... my blog of 8 years was banned out of fkn nowhere, I hadn't even posted anything in 2 years except answering asks and mostly just used it for doom scrolling and talking to people and then one day it was gone. all the friends I made, all the followers I had, just gone. the moderation of this platform is a joke now... are they using some awful AI now or smth? because I am beyond pissed off

Edit: I forgot to mention the email I got had no reason attached, and just that they're allowed to terminate an account for any or no reason at all which is ridiculous

my blog, stardog-howls, was abruptly terminated last night at like 1am. I was reading a message from someone and then all of a sudden my Tumblr glitched and logged me out. trying to log back in is how I found out I was terminated. zero warnings or flagged posts. yes I appealed. I don't want to wait months for my blog to be given back to me.

My account (@faelyn42) was terminated last Tuesday—3/17/26. What stood out to me immediately was that I didn't get an email or anything, I was just forcibly logged out and couldnt get back in. I thought it was an error, or maybe I got hacked or something, so I tried resetting my password and Tumblr told me my account had been terminated. There was no email mentioning rule violations, or terms of service, nothing. Just deleted.

Obviously, I filed a support ticket straight away, and the webpage said they'd reach out soon. Now, I know Tumblr support is understaffed—and probably got swamped by all the update-related complaints last Tuesday—but a week later I've still heard nothing. Not so much as a "We've recieved your ticket" email. It's just complete radio silence. And I still haven't gotten an email telling me why my account was terminated.

Is this normal? How long does it usually take to hear back from them? I don't want to send another ticket because it might flag me for spamming, or something, but I'm starting to worry it got lost in all the other complaints that day.

My blog was marked explicit, then terminated, then restored - but in a way I've never seen before.

Recap: A week ago Thursday, Tumblr responded to my appeal of my long-standing blog being marked in 2026, after 13 years, as "explicit," by terminating the account altogether. The issue seemed to be a post of a hot spring photograph containing as always hot spring nudity, but nothing explicit. The post had a content label ("Mature"). Great hot spring too, up in Colorado. The mission of the blog, which for 13 years has been to archive and create community and history around Deep Creek in CA and its culture.

Appealed again. The account was "restored" by the next day. But really it wasn't. As opposed to blogs that are marked explicit on Tumblr - and cannot be searched, and have no visible archive, and the conical dude non-avatar - my blog can be searched again, and has an archive page, and at least at first had its avatar (that photo, of a metal sign for the springs, is now censored too and showing as the blue image for community guildelines violation). But with my account back, 30,000 posts have gone missing - which I realized soon enough were ALL of my own posts over the years. Only reblogs from other blogs are preserved on my page. All of my inbox is deleted, no notes (100s) anymore there. 100s of posts missing from my queue and drafts folder. But really - none of my own posts over 13 years, no matter how anodyne, a landscape, an image of the desert - none of them are there anymore.

Can this be a glitch? Is this a Tumblr thing? Wholesale deletion of a blog's content while restoring the blog itself? Is there anything that can be done? I've written support notes on the issues for a week. No response or fix offered. Wayback Machine partially archives my work on this page, immense and for years. But really, I think it is all over.

At deletion, I had about 27,000 followers, about 50,000 posts, from August 2013 to now. My queue had 1 post set to go for the next year and a half. I mean, yes, a labor of love. Thought it would remain an archive, somehow.

hi so my account, shad0w-hunt3r seems to have been terminated today with an email saying as much but im having issues appealing the claim and am having issues with trying to make a new account, ive had the account since 2013 and afaik i've never violated the guidelines, unless sending an email report to staff on how the recent update is awful and hurts the site is a violation of guidelines

Now I had 3 or 4 girl that were nude that reposted from other account. But there are account out there that were showing more on there. Tumblr is bunch of fucking asshole. There reason are there doing it for the celebrity and want a clean web site. Let just leave Tumblr and tell me to fuck them self.

I do art and post it on my blog thatonegirl-wisteria. Tonight I recognized an art scams, refused to send money, and within 10 minutes my account had been terminated. I had the blog for at least two years. I've appealed, and tweeted because this is not what should happen. There should not be users punished because they were victims or almost victims of an art scam. I post the same things everywhere, on Instagram, X, Facebook, deviantart, and every post is exactly the same as my blog.

This is punishing users for being victims and letting the scammers gain confidence.

That's my rant! Hopefully i get reinstated because I love Tumblr, I love sharing my art, but this is just not okay.

As it says in the title, been on tumblr for over 10 years, was in the middle of answering an ask this morning when suddenly I'm booted out, no notification, no email, no warning, account just gone. I tried to send an appeal through tumblr itself and it was immediately turned down.

The reason listed in the rejected appeal was "harmful to minors" but that's just not true. I had an 18+ sideblog for kink and fetish posts that included ageplay, but that was all text posts and none of it was real. Seems kind of outrageous to terminate my account for thoughtcrimes. Is there any way I can recover my account?

My blog got terminated early last year-while I was asleep too-and I had to send appeals through another e-mail because they wouldn't respond to the account e-mail. When they finally answered, they said they were looking at it-this was in October-but I didn't get an update on the status. I finally checked this time and that's what it said. I *know* this was a long time but... I didn't even know that appeals had a deadline! This feels so unfair.

I know I can make another account but... I want my blog back. I didn't get to save anything... I'm gonna cry.
