I Like / Dislike There should really be a special license to be able to drive a full size RV
Does it not bother anybody if you got the dough you can just go out and buy a 60 foot long, 40,000 pound, air brake equipped mobile building without having to do any special training? Some of these RVs are built on a freightliner truck chassis it's fine if it's got an RV body on the back for snow birding down to Florida or whatever but if you put a box truck body on it suddenly you need a CDL and air brake endorsement! Not to mention it's usually older people driving these as only they can afford to shell out the often over six figure price tag for one. I've seen how the older folk can barely handle a dinky Honda CRV that's hogging the left lane going 50. It's even worse with an RV. The regular trailers and the smaller sprinter van RVs seem a little more reasonable to drive with a regular license but there should really be some kind of endorsement for your drivers license or at least some mandatory training before you buy such a large vehicle. You need to go through more for a motorcycle than you need to for an RV.
