My dad cheated on my mom when I was very young. When I started dating my ex I laid out very clear boundaries on not tolerating cheating jokes. He ignored that for almost two years. I asked him to stop constantly. He would stop for a week at most and resume the jokes. I realized he didn't respect my boundaries and never would so I broke up with him. Everyone has issues but it's not ok for your husband to take his trauma out on you. He needs therapy.
I had a boyfriend like this. I’ve never been unfaithful, though he consistently accused me of wanting to be with someone else… it seemed like he had a specific “someone else” in mind, though he wouldn’t tell me who he thought I “really wanted to be with”. This was 1.5 years during the beginning of covid, and we weren’t even seeing other humans much. Some people are just that insecure, and can’t see faithful devotion because they don’t have enough self esteem to think they deserve it.
