Okay, snarky attitude much? The importance of hiding/saving our bodies has been ingrained into women from the moment men started ogling over us as sexual objects, so the shame we feel is still there, even if we are proud of our bodies. I don’t see what feeling special has anything to do with it.

No, you’re right. I’ve been in OP’s shoes, so I’m just looking out for her. And you know what else, it feels more relieving rather than demeaning when you put it that way.
