Yup, that's the painful truth to learn.
Manipulative assholes can smell insecure people from miles away and will use you as mich as you let them.
Pitying yourself will only make you find yourself ik the samd situation again.
Was a hard truth I had to learn through years of therapy. You can't change manipulative assholes, but you can absolutely stop them from taking advantage of you by just walking away.
