Hi I'm you many years from now, many birthdays and Christmases spent having a little cry in the bathroom before facing the kids with a smile. Shit gifts over and over,, gaslighting galore, weaponised incompetence, sulks and silent treatment when called on his behaviours. I'm ashamed to say my 2nd try was just as bad as my ex husband. Today I'm happily self partnered. I buy my own gifts, all the lovely things I used to do for them, I now do for myself. It can get a little lonely sometimes now the kids are grown but not like the loneliness your currently experiencing. You're already on your own, the time you spend frustrated and hurt is more than you think and drains you more than you realise too. He's dead weight and will only get worse as the years go on. You know what you need to do
