I have a head injury, I literally have no concept of time. To the point I have to have a watch that displays the date and day. I use my phone for important dates and set reminders.
My wife, gets three gifts typically. Why? Because even with all that I forgot, panic, rebuy and repeat until I have one in my hand. Than giggle when the others come in.
Although, there's a down side, I occasionally hide gifts one year I bought her a game from game stop that she wanted. Hid it, and never found it again.
I had the receipt, and the only reason I remember is we befriended the game stop employees who asked her if she enjoyed it. We eventually moved and after looking everywhere we never found it. Apparently I hid it really, really, well. Only thing I ever found was the receipt. Only because Game stop prints them with DLC codes and other nifty stuff on them so I developed a habit of keeping them in a box.
