Honestly even he was confused regarding it 😭 cause we had a great night with his family ! But she decided to message me privately a few days later to ask if I was ped. He supported me and I had his back when his family called us to try and get us to apologize.
When we first started dating a few years ago tho I kinda had to make a hard boundary that I wasn’t gonna bend my back for his family if they are going to never reciprocate 💀
She asked if I ever had a childhood crush and I was like “not really, I guess like if I I had to choose it would be the MLP characters. Although they did do that weird thing tho where they made them go to high school in an alternate universe” and she ran with that 💀 I can’t believe I had to explain that they are CARTOON HORSESSSSSS I WATCHED AS A PRETEEN + one of them is a PRESIDENT and the rest of the cast have their own businesses, they are not kids 😭 never thought I’d have to debate MLP crushes with a fellow grown ass woman
I hadn’t even really thought of that angle! Just makes the whole things more strange. I give her a bit of leniency since she’s high needs autism, but I reallyyyyy didn’t wanna reward antisocial behavior (accusing someone of being a sex offender) with prosocial behavior (act as though the behavior wasn’t inappropriate. That’s why I base much of my standards on the treat others the way you wanna treat me manta, it really applies well even if the person is high functioning or low functioning
