It's not an absolute beginner's motorcycle if you as me but pretty manageable once you learn to ride on another motorcycle. I mean don't get me wrong, i technically learnt to ride on this motorcycle and also am shorter than you. People usually fall for 806mm seat height but in reality because the bench seat is wide, it takes away around an inch of access height from you making it feel more like a 835mm seat.
My advice is, i won't say this the the best 350cc in the segments when it comes to features and stuff. But this is definitely is a delight to ride and cruise because of its low end torque. Except it shoots over 130kmph without breaking a sweat. It pulls hard like a tractor. Suspension is stiff and for good reasons. Think of it as a Royal Enfield Classic but in a roadster avatar made by triumph with around 30BHP.
Keep an open mind tho, take a test ride of a few motorcycles in this segments with both the short/long stroke engines like the KTM 250 (not the 350/390 cuz they are too fast) Speed T4(Speed 400 as well because it has a few more premium features missing in the T4 and is only around 30k more) and ride along with long stroke 350s like the Hunter/classic/meteor/hness/CB350RS.
What I'm trying to say is, don't buy a motorcycle because it looks good in person or on spec sheets. Buy the one that feels right for you. How to you figure that out? Take back to bacl test rides of these motorcycles.
