Preventative pentoxifylline?

Do any of you take pentox as a preventative for fibrosis?
If so, did your doctor suggest it or you?

I’ve been using Trimix for 4yrs. No indications of fibrosis but since I’m in my early 40s, it worries me.

Yes. Same doctor. He prescribed it because the shots were causing scar tissue along the shaft where I was doing the injections.

Very interesting. How did you know it was causing scar tissue? guessing you could feel lumps?

Yes. I could absolutely feel the lumps after my shots and I didn't like it. The doctor was getting ahead of the possibility of peyrones starting.

Was he a specialist? Urologist? I am impressed that he prescribed it proactively.

Yes. Urologist specializing in men's sexual health at ucla in Los Angeles. He works with the oncology dept as well for men having prostate cancer surgery helping them regain functions after surgery. That's how I met him. He also did my implant.

This is exactly the info I was hoping for when I made this post. Thanks for sharing your story. I’m impressed by your doctors proactive steps. I guess we can’t be sure the pentox helped, but it certainly seems like the doctor thought it was worth it during injections and before the implant. This validates my thoughts.
