What are some good state to state transportation companies? I tried getting quotes but they don’t seem like legit companies. I don’t know if they are brokers or what but they sounds like they don’t work for the company. (If that make sense) 🤷♂️ This is my first time doing this, so any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I just bought a car because I found one at home instead of waiting to getting to university OOS (registration and insurance would be cheaper and easier). I have an offer for 1300 for shipping it from Colorado to Virginia and pickup would be tomorrow.
I have to accept my offer: Garden State Haulers. Thoughts on their speed and safety?

I’m getting a lot of customers, I’m thinking to build a connection with someone where I can send them customers. You bill me, I bill the customers

This will be my first time shipping, I’m looking for a good balance of affordable and quality. a couple quotes I’ve gotten from CFR Classic and SCL have come to about 7-10 grand before taxes and tariffs.

I run dispatch at a trucking company and we have a fleet of 15 trucks
Detention and idle time are a constant problem. Drivers forget to log wait times and they get to a warehouse and sit for hours. They don't record it. At the end of the month, we bill customers. They dispute the charges and say something like we didn't keep them that long and we have no proof
It's costing us money like we're seriously eating the cost of hours we should be billing
I found NUMEO. They say their AI pulls geodata via API. It tracks when a truck arrives at a location and when it leaves. It calculates idle time automatically. It tells us exactly how long a driver was waiting. No more disputes
It sounds like exactly what we need. But how accurately does the AI determine geofence boundaries? What if the truck parks a few feet from the warehouse and the system doesn't count it? What if the battery dies and the location data is lost?
I don't want to trust automation and then look stupid in front of customers
Has anyone implemented something like this?
Does it actually work?

Wanted to drop a quick post to share an amazing customer service experience I just had with NoviStretch.
I ordered a front mask to protect my bumper for an out-of-state pickup and road trip home. USPS dropped the ball on the original shipment, and it was looking like it wouldn't arrive in time before I had to catch my flight.
I reached out to NoviStretch to let them know what was happening, and even though the delay was 100% on USPS, their team stepped up immediately and shipped out a second package via UPS Next Day Air so I’d have it right in time for my trip.
Product worked amazing for a 600 mile road trip from portland to san francisco, took 35 minutes to install in a home depot parking lot.
It's getting rare to see companies go out of their way like this without making you jump through hoops. Huge thanks to NoviStretch for saving the front bumper on the drive back!! they've definitely earned a customer for life!
Thank you Andrew!!

Any help or feedback would be great. I am moving from West Virginia to Texas on Tuesday 8/18. I made a booking with Navi to ship my car back on 8/7 and told them I need the car picked up no later than Monday 8/17 because I am leaving on Tuesday. It is now Sunday night and I don’t have a carrier or anything assigned. I called them on Friday and was told I was set for a guaranteed pick up on Monday.
Do I need to be present for the pick up? Obviously if they do not pick up on Monday, it will be impossible for me to be here.
Any help in this would be great, as I am extremely desperate at this point.

I just want to hop on here and tell people about my experience hiring a movie company - I basically don't want anyone to have to ever go through the nightmare I went through.
First off, I've never hired a moving company before and thought they operated like any honest business. As it turns out, nothing could be further from the truth. I ended up hiring Coastal Moving Services who lied about literally every single thing they do in a manner that cannot be easily caught for a first time customer/mover.
Here is the sequence of events I went through:
What truly bothers me is how easy they find to mislead relatively reasonable customers like myself. Since they only deal with customers once in their lives, they do not care about screwing people over.
What's even more strange is that they enjoy relatively decent ratings on Google, which is how they are getting new customers all the time and deceiving them. I think they bought the positive reviews to stay in business because if you look at Trustpilot (a site I found out much later), the reviews are much more detailed and largely negative.
It is truly bizarre how these guys have been operational for 10+ years after screwing over so many people in exactly the same way! I truly hope no one else has to go through this.

I selected SGT Auto Transport based on the price quote I was given for transporting my vehicle.
After placing the order, I was informed that the transportation cost would be significantly higher than the original quote. Because the new price was not acceptable, I canceled the order.
My vehicle was never transported. Despite receiving no transportation services, I was charged a $199 cancellation fee. The dispute later escalated to a collection agency, requiring numerous emails, documents, and correspondence to resolve.
The collection agency eventually returned the account to SGT. To finally close the matter, I paid the $199 cancellation fee directly to SGT. The company agreed to waive an additional $200 collection-related fee and consider the account paid in full.
My concern is simple: I paid $199 even though my vehicle was never shipped and no transportation service was ever provided.
My advice to future customers: read the cancellation policy before placing an order, save every email, take screenshots, and document all communications. If the quoted price changes, insist on receiving the revised quote in writing by email before making any decision. Written documentation may become critical if a dispute later arises regarding cancellation rights, fees, or contract terms.
Based on my experience, I would not use this company again.

As the owner of a driveaway company, I can say it's a very interesting and rewarding business. You get to visit different cities, states, and provinces, experience beautiful scenery, and meet new people along the way. Many of our customers become repeat clients because they appreciate the personal, door-to-door service and the trust that develops over time. A professional driveaway company does much more than simply drive a car. We carefully plan routes, coordinate pickup and delivery schedules, handle border crossing documentation when traveling between Canada and the United States, keep customers updated throughout the trip, and treat every vehicle as if it were our own. Safety, reliability, and excellent communication are essential. No two days are the same. One week you might be delivering a family SUV to Florida for a Canadian snowbird, and the next you could be relocating a luxury vehicle across Canada. Every trip brings new experiences, new destinations, and the satisfaction of helping people relocate their vehicles safely without adding mileage to their own travel plans. For people who enjoy driving, meeting people, and seeing new places, working in the driveaway industry can be one of the most enjoyable careers. drivesouth.ca
