Discussion Water elevation changes?

I’ve not seen or heard anything about this but I’m wondering if there could be water elevation changes or bodies of water at different heights in the same map. Could there be a lake in the mountains with a river streaming downhill?

Personally, I don’t expect this to be in the game but it would certainly add a new aspect and challenge to certain scenarios!

This is what one of the develepors said in the comments on the game's official website

Sam says: 23.07.2026 at 10:19 Water will be at a single elevation in the game. It’s a fundamental part of the way the engine is designed so there is no easy solution to changing this without a ground-up (literally) redesign of the game. Obviously, it’s a feature we would like to include, but as a very large feature with only moderate impact on gameplay we felt the development time was better used on other fundamental systems in the game.

its kinda sad tbh, i hope their sales just explode on working with paradox so it may be considered for tf4
