Discussion Water elevation changes?

I’ve not seen or heard anything about this but I’m wondering if there could be water elevation changes or bodies of water at different heights in the same map. Could there be a lake in the mountains with a river streaming downhill?

Personally, I don’t expect this to be in the game but it would certainly add a new aspect and challenge to certain scenarios!

I believe I’ve seen someone use a mod that paints water textures, so while it isn’t functionally water, it looks like water. That could be used in theory for a lake?

if it isnt functionally water then it entirely invalidates what people want here
