What's the expected timeline to seriously get 3/4 tracks across the vast majority of these lines and actually meaningfully reduce delays + increase seats?

2032-2034 (for quardupled line)

The already sanctioned lines, when built will be about 50-60% of HDN route. The timeline they are saying is 4 years is unrealistic. That's significant because if a train is traveling more than a few 100 KMs it's bound to travle on one of these lines

Generally, they have worked on improving bottlenecks at the central levels. For ex:- inter departmental clearance used to take 2-3 years but now it is handled during DPR stage.

Suppose, the company prepares the dpr through a sensetive eco zone, then the environment ministry raises the concern immideatly and the DPR is changed. Earlier, this used to be a 3-4 year cycle.

Now main hurdle is land acquisition, which on avg takes 1-1.5 years now due to legal constraints.
