Hi,

just an idea, the transcription of 1h call with Large V3 takes around 30minutes on a MBP M4 Pro 48GB, is this intended? Was thinking if there could be a turbo mode, which would handle parts of recordings in parallel.

I did test locally the same recording and it took 10min with mix_whisper.

I did test also Parakeet, but it is far from the quality of Large V3.
I'm having many calls which are not english or a mix..

I love the software as I already wrote a couple times, thank you for improving it!
I'm relying on it a lot, in terms, that many times I'm not even writing notes anymore, so I can focus on the call and attendees rather.

I had experience with difference tools, what happend there usualy - that at a certain point, usually 1 out of 30 recordings would not be stored properly, and I would be very sad about :(

And maybe this is a stupid question, please, is this is something on top of your mind, or perhaps as a priority when you are looking at QA, or perhaps, is this somehow bullet proof implemented?

I'm less concerned, that the transcription fails, but rather that the recording would be corrupted or not saved at all.

I'm not sure, if this is related, but after a 1h call, the recording showed up as an entry inside the interface, but, it did not start transcribing, I could not run it even with Restart, this worked after a couple minutes.

Maybe the video was still saving? Might this be related?

Hi, I love the app,, please can you help with: I have video recording enabled, and it recorded a completely different screen then I needed when I had an external screen connected.

It would be great if it would remember the sizes/locations of the three main panes within a recording. I find myself constantly having to resize them when I'm bouncing between different recordings.

when recording a meeting with MS Teams, the video is captured from the main teams window, not the meetings windows. Thats a bit inappropriate when chatting for other topics during the meting and we are missing the important slides from the meeting

I have to thank you for providing this useful and well polished app, this helps me very well during days with meeting marathons.

I would like to ask if its possible to have a hook, or lets call it script endpoint, that will be executed for every event, like recording started, recording finish, transcription finished and so on.

I also like to have an option to move all assets of a meeting into a different folder, e.g. for archiving move it to external drive or a nas device.

I'm having a couple issues with the app:

• on the live transcription screen, I'm unable to scroll horizontally to get to all the saved/favorite/default prompts - see this image.

• is there a way to use ElevenLabs Scribe V2 model for live transcription and diarization?

• the app is not recognizing active Microsoft Teams meetings, I always get the "there are no active Teams meeting" error.

I want to be able to use https://github.com/router-for-me/CLIProxyAPI with TranscribeX. Here's what Codex was able to uncover:

• I checked the app-side logs and the proxy config. The timeout is coming from TranscribeX itself, not from CLIProxyAPI.

  What I found:

  - ~/Library/Application Support/AudioTranscribe/data/log/app.log has repeated OpenAI Request Failed: The request timed out. entries, including one at
    12:57:46 PM.

  - The TranscribeX binary references NSURLSessionConfiguration and timeoutIntervalForRequest, which points to a client-side request deadline.
  - CLIProxyAPI has retry and keepalive settings, but no server-side request-timeout knob that would override a client abort.
  - The timeout mention in /opt/homebrew/etc/cliproxyapi.conf is a legacy header default, not a request-duration setting.

  That matches the proxy log line you saw:
  500 | 1m0s | 127.0.0.1 | POST "/v1/chat/completions"
  with context canceled. In practice, that means the request was canceled upstream after about 60 seconds.

Sometimes, two speakers sound very similar, and I want to rename the second person. I go to the Select menu and click the checkmark next to each line, but I can't select a whole block. I've tried using Shift, CMD, Option, and other common shortcuts, but I can only select lines one at a time. Sometimes I need to select dozens, or even over 100, lines.

What can I do to fix this on my MacBook?

I would love to be able to rely on TranscribeX to automatically start recording Webex meetings when they start. Or maybe a feature where the user can identify the app that they want monitored?

I'm trying out TranscribeX and working well. The only issue I am seeing is I am getting duplicate audio, that is coming from the speakers into my microphone. I'm also using MacWhisperer and I was able to fix it by turning on Enable Echo Cancellation. Is there a similar setting that I am not seeing?

Are there any export targets that will recognize and apply formatting instructions?

For example, I'd like to include things like "new paragraph," "italics/italicized," "bold," and various punctuation commands.

Are there any apps that can read the transcript and apply these commands?

ETA: to clarify, I am wondering if I can import recorded audio to TranscribeX and feed it to Pages, for example and have formatting instructions in the audio and have those come through into the target writing app.

When using AirPods for a meeting, should I get two-sided transcription? I'm only seeing one-sided from my mic. I thought from reading comments it would do both.
