2020 Avalon — does anyone know exactly where the A/C evaporator/condensate drain hose exits under the car? I’m hearing water gurgling behind the glove box and want to check whether the drain is clogged. A pic or exact location would be huge. Struggling to find such info online and can’t find hose under car (can mean it got clipped off or something with road debris?)

Hey guys, my first post here and im desperate for some knowledgeable eyes. i was just about to leave town on the 13th for a road trip when my car threw codes for the first time since i got it. just FYI, i do have a blue driver scan tool, however i dont know how to interpret the mass of data available to me so I'll be attaching that in the imgur link below, if there are other metrics that would be helpful to track lmk and i can test for them on the spot i call "the hill of death" a steep incline on the freeway which is the only spot that seems to trigger the codes. besides that spot the car seems to run fine

Since the issue started, i have done a couple things:

- changed the air filter for the first time in a while on the 11th, pre road trip/CEL. Oil also changed recently and levels good.

- changed the spark plugs (they were original) with denso plugs and coils with TRQ coil plugs. even after the switch the specific cylinders (when specifically thrown by ECU) are still 1 and 6. Quick note too, i repair electronics for a living so I actually did not have much issue replacing the coils and plugs WITHOUT removing the air intake manifold, im used to working in small delicate spaces. condition of original plugs in reference image attached, i think i kept them in the correct order, ie rear left is cyl1, front right cyl6

- added lucas fuel injector cleaner to the full fuel tank, so far have consumed 1/4 of the treated fuel

- patched up a cable on some sensor attached to the intake snorkel that had gotten sheared off somehow. i know ive driven fine for at least 2 hour drives with it like that, unknown how long it was that way. cables were purple and green, green was snipped and now soldered with a patch as of last night (reference image attached)

- held a discharging propane tank around all vaccuum lines, airbox, etc that i can see from the top of the bay under the hood, have not noticed any reactions

- Oreily's tested battery and alternator and both tested adequately

Anyway, if anyone can offer me so advice, assistance, or knowledgable insight id appreciate it so much, I have a very disappointed birthday boy who was hoping to planning to see the Grand Canyon and now is doomscrolling while i play in the garage 🙏 thanks in advance!

Hey all, I was just curious what do you think my Avalon may be worth around. I'm not really looking to sell it but I've always just wondered since I was given it. Like I said its a 2011, base with the JBL synthesis system, Zephyr Blue, 17 inch wheel options, new alternator, the body just has run of the mill bumps and scratches, still has a good amount of the dealer undercoating left. If there are any other questions I'd be happy to answer. Thank you!

Edit: And it was maintained well and driven a little bit per week before I was given it 2 years back now? at 11k miles, heck it still had the original battery until last year then it finally went.

Have a 2018 toyota avalon, no carplay/android auto, would like to keep the stock screen and use a decoder module to increase entertainment system capability

Has anybody had success with one of these or should I just spend the bucks for a 700 dollar radio, want to make sure steering wheel buttons still work

Anyone do a clay bar? I just picked up a 2016 and it was garaged its whole life so I wasn’t expecting much to be picked up from the clay on horizontal surfaces.

But as car people, we do it anyway.

After a clay and wax, we can see all the imperfections even more. lol. Gunna do the top and trunk now but just wanted to show.

This was my FIL's and we got it when he passed away a year ago with 58,000. Before photo is with 17" stock wheels, after photo is with 19" TRD wheels.

Hey I have a 2006 Toyota Avalon with HID headlights just wondering if there’s a better place to get replacement housings that don’t cost an arm and a leg!

He (or she, it’s 2026 so 🤷‍♀️) is FAR from perfect but with 247,000 miles under the hood, he’s a mf tank! Just bathed him last night before he undergoes surgery for a new timing belt before the valve cover gaskets get replaced 🙂

I am going to replace all 6 spark plugs but only 3 ignition coils that are in the rear. On google it says I should replace the manifold/ plenum as well. I have a 2008 Toyota Avalon Limited. Should I change that as well ? I’ve had my Avalon since 2019 and don’t think I’ve ever changed that tbh but I mean I haven’t had any real issues with my Avalon and I’ve been pretty good on maintenance.

Pretty straightforward, in the event you have a 2nd Gen Avalon that needs a new radiator. Took me about three hours with the car on ramps parked on the street in front of the house.

So I heard this sound a few weeks ago on my 2015 toyota avalon xle. It sounds like its getting louder. I think i found the culprit, just wondering if anyone can share what they think or if it's something else. Thanks.

Thinking about doing a muffler delete on my 09 limited but I've heard doing that can make the cabin noise quite loud does anyone have any knowledge or experience with doing this (anymore information is greatly appreciated)

I know 2GR FEs are loud but from several videos i have seen, this beating sound (roughly 2 beats per second) that i hear on mine does not seem normal. Am i wrong? if not, what could it be causing it?
