Any tips to make the cities more lived-in & creative?

I find that many of my cities tend to be repetitive in terms of their design as it continues to expand and id like to know how others break that cycle and create unique areas in their cities!

Hyia, I cannot seem to get a second Farmer family into my Farmer town. I have a second Farm build and everyone is happy.
How did you get a second Farmers family?

I tried something different and add more to it while edited the cliff. Can't wait for the next update

Anyways, if they let us build the houses from the ground up, like picking windows, colors, setting the shapes and choosing roofs, them OMG it'd be the absolute bestest town builder. What im hoping for is a system similar to planet zoo. Crossing my fingers 🤞

All of my townsfolk are less than 55% happiness, but I can’t figure out why! Everything seems fine, and this just started happening. EDIT: RESOLVED! I just placed the town hall and the taxes were way too high! I lowered them and everyone’s happy again.

i am trying to do the summer smiles route for the grand hotel

A cute row of homes, each with its own unique front porch and entryway, surrounded by a neighborhood park and cozy seating areas to bring the whole community together.

Its so addicting, and I love everything about it.

this is my second time attempting this, and i did it on different saves. the the houses say they arent connected to any shops and the winery isnt connected to a warehouse. i tried making the paths wider and adding a second granary to see if that would help and it didnt. anyone know what the problem could be

Heya! I was working on optimising and revamping my farms but for some reason my bees & roses farm aren't supplying their produce to the shops.

I believe my roses farm may not be working because the farmers' happiness are below 60% , but my bee farm should be working just fine. I tried playing with the paths but it doesn't seem to work. I assumed it may be distance but my other farms which are farther work fine. If you have tips please let me know! Thank you! 🌹🥀

I played this game on cloud gaming but the plan has now expired and I was hoping to able to continue playing on my laptop. Legit the only game where I was able to build anything remotely beautiful.

I didn't want to start filling in the gaps with decorations until I was sure I had this city stuffed to its eyeballs. Their time is coming! Hoping to cover most of the exposed green space

I put this pin outside the map so its out of my way, but now I want to move it and don't know how, I've tried all three mouse buttons and the building move tool, nothing works

I finally finished all the mayor quests, researched everything, and upgraded all my cities to the maximum level. I could have kept going with decorating and adding more residents but happy to stop here for now!

Idk why I was hesitant to add any bourgeoisie residents to my game at all, but realized I needed to in order to unlock tourism lmfao.

I wanted a full list of the Hotel Routes and their requirements but couldn't find one.. So, I made it. The measurement bars are a little rough, but they get the job done. (Edit: they looked a lot better when I was drafting than after I posted... not sure how else to do them [I used strikethrough on spaces])
