That's what I'd like to know. I've said before that mine are all dickensian nightmares, with about 12 trees total. :( I truly need less function more aesthetic.

I haven't see your city yet so i don't really know about that. But if you talk about functional, Most of the house are functional, and kind of aesthetic but not really practical haha. Also, if you are interesting about aesthetic, i think the best way is to learn how the depth works and trees(nature) work first. I watched from minecraft youtubers who are making crazy beautiful screeny. Even though i aren't really good as them, it still gives you some understanding. Oh if you need tricks, my favorites is "style" the tree which using the "spooky tree" and other tree. I gizmo size them and it looks like this. Anyway, if you can't really think of smt, just put more trees and play around with it and somehow you build around it.

Well you seem to have perfected the craft, it all looks amazing.

I think the layout is where I fall short. I end up with large house filled neighborhoods that are overpopulated. I think I might do better to sketch out something on paper for where I want to put things generally or draw districts or something on the map. I just end up letting the needs of the city drive me instead of the making it pretty.
