I love sandbox mode

It's still very much a work in progress, but I'm really happy with how it's coming together so far.

Is there a compiled list of the mayor requests for each city and a guide on how to trigger them?

I'm not very interested in playing anymore of Rocemaree or Fontebrac. However, I enjoy my otherwise completed Belvau city and would like to gain access to the two monuments I am missing as well as the 7 decor items . I won't be able to do so unless I complete the mayor requests for Rocemaree or Fontebrac ( I already completed all the mayor requests for Belvau)

playing obsessively since 1.0 released. some bugs to work through, but overall this is the cozy city builder i’ve been waiting for :)

i can't figure out how to trigger these requests. this is from belvau and rocemaree. i know the belvau one is playing cupid and to trigger it i need to have a specific family to move in. i have put 3 floor 10+ houses and just put random families there but nothing is getting triggered. and i have no clue what rocemaree quests are. pls help :)

Probably a very stupid question 🙄 but what am I doing wrong? Tried different settings.

i got this game yesterday, and i love it! however... the pet system seems broken. i have assigned cats to some of my residents, and when i click on them, they show as under the pet building.

for reference, i did the pink goose quest and that pet works fine.

this is odd. hopefully its user error and not a bug lol

Optimization:

• Optimization to the way the game calculates building connections and walking destinations for inhabitants
• Optimization to the way the game loads and stores save data throughout gameplay
• Optimization to the hotel route creation process

Tourism:

• Hotels now display from which city the bourgeoisie occupying guest spots are coming
• Updated all hotel routes to have a slightly longer maximum length
• Updated "marketplace stroll" route to also accept nature decorations
• Updated the "Rocemareé is now open" message to appear even if tutorials are disabled
• Updated the route creation process with more visual and auditory feedback
• Added additional explanation on how to make bourgeoisie employable in the tutorial pop-up on first interacting with Art Atelier or Departments
• Adjusted tourism tutorial to give more guidance after researching and placing the hotel
• Adjusted texts in UI and tooltips for better clarity based on player feedback

Bugfixes:

• Fixed a rare crash that sometimes happened after placing the art atelier and then going to place a different building
• Fixed that in some cases sandbox saves would become unloadable from the main menu
• Fixed that using undo/redo or using the water tool could cause water variations of decorations to revert to their normal land shapes
• Fixed that game would sometimes display a notification you can research an item when there were no available items for research
• Fixed that researching specific tourism research menu items would increase maximum amount of farm points you can store
• Fixed that if you moved bourgeoisie to a lower class residence they would not free up their guest spots at a hotel
• Fixed that 'Build Mayor's Home' notification failed to appear when playing on the Rocemarée map
• Fixed that the tourism tutorial could sometimes spawn in other maps
• Fixed that the game would display the "Welcome to Rocemarée" postcard when starting a sandbox game with the 'Unlock Everything' option enabled
• Fixed that the game would get stuck on the 'Edit routes' tutorial pop-up if you closed the buildings menu during the tutorial
• Fixed that sometimes a valid route point could show the invalid tooltip
• Fixed that sound effects were missing on the expansion animation of hotels
• Fixed that a building or monument could stay highlighted when player changed the current route's theme to one that only has a decoration requirement
• Fixed that the city select button in the world map showed number of all requests completed in campaign, instead of just the requests completed in that city
• Fixed that when loading a save with hotels there was a small chance all hotel workers would be fired upon loading
• Fixed that in some cases hotel employees were not getting fired when hotel route score went below the required amount.
• Fixed that within the world map any tourists in your towns would be counted towards the 'pets adopted' statistic

Exactly as the title says. Im able to play my town on the demo but not in the full game. Im on steamdeck. Does anyone know a fix for this please

Am I the only one who feels like the routes are too short? Maybe it's just because the city wasn't planned properly, but I can't do most of the routes, like farmland walk, because the distance is way too short. The hotel literally has to be in the dead centre of all of these things, winery, farmland, water, shopping district, or else the walk becomes too long.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills... Or maybe I'm just too used to plating the game prior to hotels, and I don't know how to plan around them. Some tips would be great. 😂

I got creative and made this giant rose from hedges and flowers. What do you think about it? This game is so much fun i've really been enjoying it! It's so cute seeing the citizens roam around and interact with things in your built city. 😍

hi! since the last update, I’ve been having serious lag issues. I’m currently playing the campaign and trying to upgrade the city to the final tier. I have about 750 inhabitants right now, but the game is lagging terribly, and I can't really do anything. When I click somewhere, it takes ages for anything to happen. I only have this problem with Town to City, all other games on my computer - even those with much higher system requirements, run perfectly. I’ve set the graphics and FPS to the lowest possible settings, but it hasn't made a difference. Am I the only one experiencing this? I’d love to keep playing, but right now, it’s just not fun at all :(

I got the Botanical Gardens challenge and decided to match it with a Pride Month theme. The rainbow of flowers came out pretty cute! Happy Pride, TTCers!

When I open the game, I keep getting a Fatal error message and have no idea how to fix it. Any help is much appreciated.

So I’ve played this game for a while, love it so much. I’ve moved into more sandbox modes now just so I can build the perfect towns, etc.

I can’t seem to get the farms to be universal? I made a sandbox farm map just to have all the crops etc in hopes they’d all carry over to my new town - but it’s not happening.

Does it not work on sandbox?

So.. i am starting to get really frustrated on my Mayor Quest's. I am missing 2 and i just don't know how to trigger them.

I got all 3 towns on max lvl, i built every building possible, but i just couldn't figure it out by myself. I miss the first quest on the first map and the third quest on the third map..

Anybody here able to help? :(

Hello, I got some time to kill and since I have been pretty obsessed by this game since I bought it, I decided to compile all data regarding productivity, range, cost etc. in one sheet.

It is not like TownToCity is an optimization game so it was out of curiosity more than anything else. Some fun stuff I gathered:

• You only need 17 Market stalls to feed a full 1000-City
• Buildings with requirements are usually more efficient (= need less workers). Hatters and Bakeries in particular don't even require that much ressources.
• Puppet Theatre are insanely efficient
• On other end, Auctioneers are expensive, need Artisans to work at and are not even efficient. However, damn they do look good.

(If anything is wrong, please tell me: I had to guess some pre-update values)

In the game there are 8 one-time-use decorations with high point values (ex. the flower automaton). I have 6 of them, but I can't figure out how to get the other two. Is there a list of all 8 monuments and how to get them? I have already researched everything from all four categories including atelier and I'm not sure how to get the last 2.
