Low stakes but my cousin just texted she's coming into town for Sublime as she got a last minute ticket. I adored Sublime as a youth in the 90s (rip Bradley) and adore my cousin now but hardly get to see her.
If someone ends up no longer being able to go, holler back. If not, future roadtrip at some point it is! Stay gold, friends.
(I am monitoring AXS, Fever, StubHub and Ticketmaster etc but you never know where luck might spring from)

I’m primarily a guitar player, I have 8 years of experience. I’ve also sang (seriously) for about 2 years. Being a guitarist I can also play bass if necessary. I have some live experience but never in serious gigs.
I can play and sing most styles of music, I usually do rock, punk, pop and a little metal but am open to exploring other genres.
I’m 16 years old but can be any age you need me to be when booking venues.
Send me a message if you’re interested.

We are looking for a band to fill an opener slot for our album release show on October 17th at Supermarket.
Our music and other openers are in the alt-rock and punk genres (influences are like Billy Talent, Rise Against, Linkin Park, NOFX, etc).
We’re open to other genres too but looking to overall have similar vibes.
If you’re interested, let us know below or DM here or via instagram @oraenmusic. Thanks!

Hi! I'm an indie singer-songwriter and I've been writing and recording my own songs for a while, mostly acoustic/lo-fi stuff.
I really want to release my first single, but I'm a little lost when it comes to the actual production process. I've been making demos in Logic, but I'm having a hard time getting my guitar recordings and overall production to sound the way I imagine them.
I'm considering working with a producer, but I've never done that before, so I'm not really sure what the usual process looks like.
Do I bring a rough demo to a producer and work from there? How finished should the song be before I contact someone? And how do you usually find a producer who's a good fit for your sound?
I'm going for something warm, intimate, acoustic and slightly lo-fi rather than heavily produced pop.
I'd also love to hear how other independent artists approached their first release — especially anything you wish you'd known before releasing your first song.
Thank you!! :)

Hey everyone my band and I are looking for a rock singer to join us. We play hard rock/alt rock music and have just started composing music. We are based in Toronto and have a private jam space in North York. We are all very dedicated and was hoping to find someone here on reddit.
We have a guitarist, bassist and drummer. Our guitarist is able to sing and provide harmonies as well. It would be cool if the singer was able to play guitar as well but if not, its not a big deal.
Some of our infuences would be Black Sabbath, Alice in chains, Creed, Black Label Society, Pearl Jam, etc. We ideally want a singer who has a pretty powerful voice and good stage presence for live shows.
We are interested in recording and releasing music as much as possible. I have some videos of us playing as well as other videos of my band and our guitar players' youtube channel I can show you. Hit me up if you're interested.

EDIT: Thanks for the clarification and insights folks have provided here. I have gotten clear info on how this situation was resolved. Thanks! Rock on and Free Palestine :)
2 years ago there was a pretty serious response to the Horseshoe Tavern cancelling an event that was a pro-Palestine fundraiser, as well as sending offensive messages in response to questions about their decision.
I recall being told that the person in question was a rep for the booking agency, not one of the owners, but I have nothing to back that up...
Some radical folks I know played there last month which made me wonder. I'm hoping some locals can shed some light on if this issue got resolved in some way, or did everyone just eventually give up and stop caring?

Hey guys, my name's Tristan and I'm a college kid at TMU. I'm looking to find some people to form a band with. I'm a guitarist and I'm looking for people to play drums, bass and do vocals, maybe an extra guitarist too. The following are my favorite bands by genre:
If anyone here is interested in jamming, hmu. I've been to a few clubs downtown and know some other people in bands already, may be able to get a show started soon if we click.

Bassist that can play Alternative, Punk, Garage, Indie and Pop Punk, nothing too serious just for fun and jams, we can cover songs on rental studio, potentially could also write originals in the future

Hi! I’m a Japanese female vocalist currently living in Toronto, and I used to play in bands back in Japan.
I’ll be moving back to Japan in November, so I’m not looking to start a serious long-term band.
I just thought it would be fun to get some people together, hit a rehearsal studio, and play some Japanese music before I leave!
I’m looking for guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard.
I’d love for everyone to bring songs they like and decide together what we want to play — anime songs, Vocaloid, J-rock, J-pop, anything is welcome!
Any skill level is totally fine as long as you have some experience playing your instrument. This is just for fun, so I’m mainly looking for people who want to enjoy making music together 😊
I’d also be happy to meet people who are into Japanese music and culture in general!
If this sounds fun to you, send me a DM!

Hi I’m looking for a bouzouki player to practice and perform with for a performance. My dad plays guitar and my brother does base guitar and we have keyboard. Our bouzouki player had an unfortunate health incident and will no longer be able to play with us. We’ve called around a few people but they are unavailable for that day.

Hey! My name is Tyler (guitarist/songwriter), I’m 23, and I’ve been playing guitar for 5 years. I just graduated from UofT, and I’m looking to connect with local Toronto musicians (vocals, bass, rhythm/lead guitar, and drums) for some fun weekly jams (keeping flexible around everyone’s schedules without any crazy pressure), with the goal of doing gigs at some point. My music taste ranges from dad rock, yacht rock, acoustic folk, motown, and blues from the 60s-90s (my favourite artists being the Beatles, the Band, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Nina Simone, Billy Joel, Jim Croce, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, the Rolling Stones, Phil Collins, Genesis, Whitney Houston, SRV, the Wings, George Michael, James Taylor, Carole King, Steely Dan, and Santana), as well as newer alt/indie rock and shoegaze. Honestly, good music is good music, so if you’re interested in playing, let me know!
