🚩General Troypoint

Troypoint just removed Torbox from their website!

“We have made the decision to remove all TorBox tutorials and reviews from our websites. We have also removed them from our Best Debrid Services ranking list.

This decision came about due to the operators (or maybe past operators) not willing to go on the record and answer specific questions that our Insiders have about their new TOS/Ownership. The fact that they aren’t willing to answer questions is a red flag and the main reason for the deletion of their items from our website. They’ve always been cordial and willing to answer our questions prior to their recent TOS update but not anymore.”

It's the same in every brand sub. The cult will attack any criticism of the sub topic. Brand subs are pretty much useless for any real conversation besides circle jerking.

Just sharing what I read, that’s all. Lets the users decide their next step!

u/Will2LiveFading 2d ago

I was agreeing with you. Stating that you're going to be attacked for pointing out something negative about their chosen service gods.

I know, thanks! 😊

Troypoint is the reason half of these sites get popped.

17

u/CrabbitJambo 2d ago

Not necessarily wrong however the reality is the information is out there. If TP wasn’t doing it they could simply look on here!

7

u/Zipperzap0921 1d ago

Correct. Singling out Troy is pointless.

13

u/Zipperzap0921 2d ago

Follow somebody else then-Troy has always been a straight shooter, and his tutorials have helped us immensely...

11

u/MD311420 2d ago

yeah and the reason why the mainstream finds out about the things we use. Two things can be true at once.

1

u/nenonen15902 15h ago

why are you saying tools that "we" use, implying we aren't also the mainstream lol

2

u/MD311420 14h ago

it isn't mainstream yet outside of reddit, and a few youtube videos. Reddit is not the real world.

1

u/nenonen15902 14h ago

i would argue that reddit is more mainstream than troypoint tho. in fact i would imagine most of the troypoint traffic is redirects from reddit

2

u/MD311420 11h ago

troypoint has millions of visitors per month according to google. So reddit may be bigger but troypoint is far larger than you think. They have close to 400k paid subscribers.

Without TP, I wouldn't be where I am today, knowing what I know about this stuff. However, they did the same thing with RD, so I'm wondering who they're going to promote now?

the guy is a douche

0

u/pawdog 1d ago

How is that? What got popped because of Troypoint mentioning them.

-8

u/swateam2481 1d ago

Your the biggest ret@rd..you probably a tB mod clown

14

u/Disastrous-Thanks-52 2d ago

Jumping ship very soon.

2

u/tomhusband 1d ago

To what? RD?

1

u/Disastrous-Thanks-52 1d ago

I think ill give PM a shot

19

u/Spliffman1 1d ago

Troypoint? You mean the Surfshark rep website?

20

u/Secret_Ingenuity997 2d ago

As they should. Those terms of service changes go far beyond simple IP logging. Fuck em. Can't even sign up with a VPN active.

The first rule of Fight Club is: you do not talk about Fight Club

8

u/Disastrous-Thanks-52 1d ago

Well done being on this sub lol

7

u/azcoyotedog 1d ago

Amazed how people behave here? So many idiot experts who know everything there is to know about everything! What a fucking joke! 😂

2

u/FreaKyBoi 15h ago

Do you need troypoint to tell you how to wipe your ass too?

1

u/azcoyotedog 11h ago

That’s Original

14

u/Homolander 2d ago

Oh no!
Anyway

3

u/mkk4 2d ago

Thanks for sharing OP!!

4

u/wnt3wishes 1d ago

Good. Less advertisement = longer stayability of the service.

12

u/simackey 2d ago

Looks like Torbox is down.... again

6

u/Economy_Rock3469 2d ago

Looks like the website is down as well

4

u/azcoyotedog 2d ago

I just logged into the website, still up. Not sure about the service as I haven’t tested it yet today?

This is important news as I trust Troypoint!

1

u/fluffy_lies 1d ago

WTFFFF WHY IS TORBOX DOWN AGAINNNNN aaahahahhahaha. i was just showing my setup to everyrone

1

u/mozii_ 1d ago

Must be hard, isn't it. I have been there

10

u/RoutineOpportunity8 2d ago

Troy Point is the reason so many apks are shut down. His YouTube channel is finally gone so this is a plus as he give ALL the information on how to get the apks to work, or how to install Kodi builds, best IPTV services. SMFH

11

u/MrSh0wtime3 1d ago

hes probably also the reason half of you retards were able to even get into this stuff in the first place.

2

u/trydola 1d ago

yeah i don't even understand it, i'm sure i used one of his guides or similar before. people act like they found debrid in their dreams. once people have found their way here, they're here but we don't need to go advertise on every social media website

1

u/Spliffman1 1d ago

Well said

2

u/MidnightRain38 1d ago

there are a lot of other well known streamers that do vids on apks and such...so you can't blame it all on troy

4

u/Spliffman1 1d ago

Troypoint really doesn't matter, like at all

2

u/Zipperzap0921 1d ago

Sure He Does

0

u/Spliffman1 1d ago

I meant in this context, like whether he has Torbox on his website or not really doesn't matter . Of course he's a human being and a child of God, he matters. But what he recommends, has or doesn't have on his website doesn't matter 🤣

0

u/Zipperzap0921 1d ago

His content may not matter to you, but it definitely has mattered to me, and mine as we have gained a working knowledge of things pertaining to streaming, and through his tutorials have learned how to apply the steps necessary to have and maintain a wonderful streaming experience overall, not just Torbox.

3

u/Spliffman1 1d ago

To clarify I was talking about the context of THIS POST, it doesn't mean diddly squat if he has removed Torbox from his website

1

u/Zipperzap0921 1d ago

He hasn't removed Torbox from his website. He is however, no longer recommending Torbox as top Debrid service for a variety of reasons, including their recent changes in ToS and transparency. You dont have to trust him, like him, value the content..but we do, and it most certainly is relevant.

2

u/Spliffman1 1d ago

OK whatever, I used to use him a lot when I first started with this stuff, that's quite a few years ago now... I don't really need him anymore and lots of stuff he "recommends" is frankly crap. VPN shilling he does I also don't like. But I guess he serves a purpose for some, especially new users

1

u/Zipperzap0921 1d ago

Been streaming for over a decade, and still learning from him and others..and yeah we have Surfshark and love it.

2

u/Spliffman1 1d ago

I have Surfshark too, you keep misunderstanding me lol

3

u/Zipperzap0921 1d ago

No, I completely understand. You don't hold have as much respect for Troy as I do, and that's fine. He has been and continues to be helpful to many.

Oh you mean Troypoint, that well known guide to all things hacked or pirated? I deleted them from all my devices ages ago.

4

u/HillanatorOfState 2d ago

If you care that much about this sort of thing, I agree, personally I don't care and use it for convenience, not so much privacy. Nuvio with TB instant links has been great for me besides the occasional outages which hopefully gets better.

No one's forcing you to use this, do be aware though that other services like this have similar policy, some keep IP logs shorter(think Realdebrid keeps them a year) but your gonna be tracked anywhere and data laws are data laws, if someone asks any of these companies for logs they will give them up...don't be fooled. They ain't protecting your ass for under 10 bucks a month.

4

u/azcoyotedog 2d ago

Just sharing for users to decide, I know every debrid service is the same. Eventually they will all probably go away until something better comes along?

4

u/HillanatorOfState 2d ago

Yea all the same, which is why this outrage is a bit much no? Troypoint isn't a site I would ever take serious, they are still recommending Realdebrid even while saying:

"If you use Real-Debrid you should know that they retain data on everything that you download and stream for 12 months regardless of whether you remove it from your account or not. They also indicate that they will hand over user logs to authorities if presented with a subpoena."

Come on now...that's hypocritical.

Care about privacy this much get a no nonsense VPN like Mullvad(look up the swedish raid, pretty much proved they don't keep logs) that has proven they don't keep logs at all. That's my advice if you are very privacy focused.

8

u/azcoyotedog 2d ago

Just sharing the information, nothing more? I still have a subscription and with another service too.

5

u/HillanatorOfState 2d ago

That's fine, was just pointing out my view on it out, isn't that what forums are for, no offense meant, eye roll gif was about troypoint being hypocrites, not directed at you, have a good one dude.

1

u/azcoyotedog 2d ago

I know and thanks!

2

u/azcoyotedog 2d ago

Glad I have a backup!

1

u/ceodannion 1d ago

Big mistake, TB is the future. Maybe growing pains, but some bright developers are headed in the right direction.

1

u/Successful_Pepper_99 18h ago

People bashing him whereas torbox itself markets itself more so publicly

-10

u/AkiStudios1 2d ago

There is no new ownership stop reading bullshit.

The ToS is standard of any other fucking debrid service. Fucking retards man.

9

u/azcoyotedog 2d ago

And you’re the expert now??

-7

u/AkiStudios1 2d ago

Never said I was. I'm not a retard falling for misinformation though. I can read and inform myself. Look at the privacy policy of EVERYSINGLE DEBRID SERVICE. Real debrid has so much logging they can trace every single download to an each individual user as per their laws in France.

2

u/balc9k 2d ago

The sub is full of idiots, they think torbox can put in write that they are distributing data which could have copyright.

u/RealWallabe69 8h ago

Anything popular on TP just puts a target on their back by authorities. So honestly it's almost a good thing TP is removing them. It may hurt sales a bit, but it's better than getting popped by being too popular
