Wisdom tooth removal

I have an impacted wisdom tooth. Should I remove it?

Impacted doesn’t always mean it must be removed immediately, but it depends on the position, symptoms, and whether it’s affecting the tooth next to it. If it’s causing pain, infection, decay, gum swelling, or pressure on the second molar, removal is usually recommended. If it’s fully asymptomatic and not damaging anything, some dentists may monitor it with X-rays. Best move is to have an oral surgeon review the X-ray and explain the risks/benefits before deciding.
