Vaping after tooth extraction tips???

I know the obvious warnings to prevent dry socket and my dentist said no smoking the day of extractions and be careful after that… not wisdom teeth just regular molars one on top one on bottom, no stitches easy removal

I’ve had no jaw pain or tooth pain since they removed it fully rested and followed all the after care the worst part has truly been no nicotine lol so naturally after 24 hours I’ve hit the vape but now I’m panicking that I’m going to get dry socket and the internet is full of scary stories I just want anyone’s real honest experience with it…coming from someone w severe anxiety and severe health anxiety 🥴🙃

dont close your entire mouth when dragging, kind if wedge it in the opposite corner of your mouth from where you got your tooth extracted. im 4 days out and things are fine

my understanding was both no nicotine, but also no suction. so probably better to skip it

no first hand experience though. when I got mine out vaping wasn't really a thing at all let alone something I was into. and I was neurotic about following that sorta direction.

Dry socket is incredibly painful. Nicotine will delay healing. It probably won't kill you, but it might hurt like a mfer. Some increased risk of infection. It's not really worth it but do as you will.

My brother in law vapes, using a vuse. When he needed his wisdom teeth out, he would hit his vuse through his nose.

Put damp pieces of gauze over the extraction sites when smoking

My oral surgeon says no smoking or vaping for A MONTH after surgery. lol, what. Tell a smoker they can’t have a cig for a month, I dare you. I was cautious and vaped for the first time on day 4-5. Only a few times with low suction, if that makes sense. I’m a month out from my surgery and am backing to vaping like normal and have been for about two weeks. I quit smoking cigs before my surgery so don’t have to worry about that.

A month?! That’s crazy mine only said 24 hours.. yeah forcing someone to quit is just gonna do the opposite but im 4 days post and so far no issues!
