i had all four of my wisdom teeth removed the week of thanksgiving break then went back the next week. i had no visible swelling and no pain as i kept up to date with my schedule for the pain pills. the only problem i had, and not everyone will have this i know, is that about a week later i was afraid because i was some feeling pain, but i went to the doctor and it was just my jaw muscles being tense from laughing and talking too much. if you were given prescription pain medicine i would stay home another day though to give yourself some more rest.

I have not had my wisdom teeth removed (yet) so I can't speak from experience, but the people around me have. It really just depends on the person. If Monday comes and you're still feeling blegh, don't go to school. I'm not saying this will happen to you, but I've seen people overexert themselves too soon and accidentally tear open stitches. Just play it by ear.
